What Do I Always Have in My Beach/Pool Bag?

Água? Check. Bolachas? Check. Lenços? Check. Telemóvel para tirar umas boas fotos? Claro!

Water? Check! Cookies? Check. Tissues? Check. Phone to take some good photos? Of course!

Quer para nós o Verão seja sinónimo de praia, ou pelo contrário a piscina seja mais a nossa onda, temos sempre de levar connosco todos os essenciais para um dia bem passado (seleccionei recentemente as minhas malas de praia favoritas aqui), por isso hoje venho mostrar-vos aquilo que eu levo sempre na minha mala de praia.

Either for us Summer means beach, or on the contrary the pool is our favorite spot, we always have to carry with us all the essentials for a day well spent (I have recently selected my favorite beach bags here), so today I come to show what I always carry in my beach bag.

Existem coisas básicas, como a carteira com dinheiro para o gelado, a garrafa de água, as bolachas para matar a fome, os lenços e o telemóvel, que estão automaticamente na nossa lista de "tralha" para levar para a praia. Mas e o resto, que é igualmente importante mas que por vezes nos esquecemos? Eis o que eu não dispenso ter na minha mala.

There are basic things, such as our wallet, with money for an ice cream, a bottle of water, some cookies so we don't starve, tissues and our phone, which are automatically in our list of "junk" we take to the beach. But what about the rest, which is equally important but that we sometimes forget? Here's what I never forget to have in my bag.

- Uma revista e um livro. Claro que estar ao telemóvel, ir à água ou simplesmente adormecer debaixo do chapéu de sol à sombrinha é maravilhoso, mas chega a um ponto em que precisamos de algo mais para nos distrairmos. É por isso que levo sempre na minha mala uma revista actual e o livro que esteja a ler nessa altura. É ao sol que eu costumo terminar muitos livros, e o bónus é que ainda apanhamos uma corzinha enquanto lemos a nossa história preferida.

- A magazine and a book. Of course being on our phones, swimming or falling asleep in the shadow sounds wonderful, but after a while we're going to need some entertainment. That's why I always take  with me a recent magazine and the book that I'm reading at the moment. It's by the sun that I usually finish lots of books, and the bonus is we get a little color while reading our favorite story.

- Óculos de sol. Esta é bastante óbvia, mas já aconteceu a muita gente sair de casa à pressa e deixar os óculos de sol em cima da mesa. Por isso é que eu nunca os tiro da mala. Além de protegerem os nossos olhos dos raios solares, ajudam imenso a diminuir a luminosidade quando estamos a ler, e claro que é aquele toque que faltava ao desfilarmos o nosso fato de banho preferido.

- Sunglasses. This one is pretty obvious, but it has happened to a lot of people to leave the house in a rush and they forget the sunglasses on the table. That's why I never take them out of the bag. Besides protecting our eyes from the sun, they really help reducing the luminosity while we're reading, and of course they are that final touch while we show off our favorite swimsuit.

- Chapéu. Nem toda a gente tem o hábito de usar chapéu, ou por não gostar de se ver, ou simplesmente por não estar habituado a usar e nem ter nenhum em casa. Mas o chapéu de sol, ou boné, deveria estar na mala de praia de toda a gente. Protege o cabelo dos raios solares e protege o rosto caso não queiramos bronzeá-lo. Pode não ir literalmente dentro da mala, mas está sempre pronto ao seu lado.

- Hat. Not everyone likes wearing a hat, either because they don't like it, or simply never got used to using it and they don't even have one at home. But everybody should take a hat with them. It protects the hair from the sun and our face in case we don't want to tan it. It might not go literally inside the bag, but it's always ready right beside it.

- Bolsa de Cosméticos. Os homens nem sabem o que é isso, perguntam-nos "mas o que é que levas na mala que parece chumbo?" mas depois o protector solar até lhes dá jeito para não ficarem com um escaldão daqueles. Costumo levar sempre um protector solar de rosto (este é da AVON), o protector solar para o corpo (o meu favorito há anos é o Protect&Bronze da Nivea), um spray protector para o cabelo e claro bálsamos hidratantes para os lábios (porque um não chega, chego a levar dois para ter opção de escolha :) ). Costumo levar também um pente pequenino, porque nunca se sabe se depois da praia ou da piscina vai ser preciso ir a algum lado, e é preciso controlar as madeixas claro está!

- Cosmetic Bag. Men don't even know what that is, they ask us "what are you carrying in there that is so heavy?" but later the sunscreen will be good to protect them from getting a giant sunburn. I usually take my face sunscreen (this one is from AVON), the body sunscreen (Protect&Bronze by Nivea has been my favorite for years), a protective spray for the hair and of course lip balms (because one is not enough, I actually take two so I can choose :) ). I also take a small comb, because you never know if you're going somewhere after the beach or the pool, and you need to control the hair of course!

Summer Makeup Favorites: Eyes | by Joana Felício

Hoje temos mais um post sobre a mais recente rubrica aqui no blog. Os meus favoritos de maquilhagem no verão, mas hoje na categoria de olhos.

Today we have another post from the latest rubric here on the blog. My favorite makeup products during Summer, but today concerning the eyes.

Começamos com o Jumbo Eye Pencil da NYX, na cor milk! É um lápis de olhos, mas de tamanho bem generoso. Por ser de textura cremosa e de cor branca, utilizo-o como primer de olhos e adoro! Já não quero outra coisa! A textura cremosa ajuda as sombras a aderirem melhor à pele e a cor branca neutraliza todos os outros tons da pálpebra, potencializando assim as cores das sombras.

Let's start with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil, in milk! It's an eye pencil, but it comes in a very generous size. Because of its creamy texture and white color, I use it as an eye primer and I love it! I don’t want anything else! The creamy texture helps the shadows to adhere better to the skin and the white color neutralizes all the other eyelid tones, thus enhancing the colors of the shadows.

As sombras em creme duram mais tempo e são super práticas para esta altura do ano. Esta é uma das minha favoritas, a Color Tattoo da Maybelline, na cor On and On Bronze! É super fácil de aplicar e podemos espalhá-la mesmo com os dedos, quando estamos com mais pressa. Esta é uma cor linda e que dá sempre com tudo.

Cream shadows last longer and are super practical this time of year. This is one of my favorites, the Maybelline Color Tattoo, in the color On and On Bronze! It is super easy to apply and we can spread it even with our fingers when we are in a hurry. This is a beautiful color that always goes with everything.

Ainda na categoria de sombras, temos as sombras em caneta, não há nada mais prático do que isto! As minhas favoritas são as Longlasting Stick Eyeshadow da Kiko! São sombras cremosas, de longa duração e em stick. Muito simples de aplicar, muito fácil de espalhar e super práticas para transportar. Tenho imensas cores e adoro todas!

Still on the eyeshadows, we have the eyeshadow pens, there is nothing more practical than this! My favorites are Kiko's Longlasting Stick Eyeshadow! They are creamy shadows, long lasting and in stick. Very simple to apply, very easy to blend and super practical to carry. I have lots of colors and I love them all!

Sim, sou fã de lápis preto e este é sem dúvida o meu favorito. Ao ponto de ter um stock cá em casa. Este é o Longlasting Eye Pencil da Essence! É um lápis de olhos retrátil (como eu adoro), de longa duração, com uma super pigmentação e com um mini preço. É aquele produto que compro e volto sempre a comprar.

Yes, I am a fan of black eye pencils and this one is undoubtedly my favorite. To the point of having a stock of them at home. This is Essence's Longlasting Eye Pencil! It's a retractable eye pencil (as I love), long lasting, with a lot of pigmentation and a mini price. It's that product that I always buy and buy again.

Quem nos segue no Instagram já ouviu falar muito desta máscara de pestanas. Esta é a Unmeasurable Length Fibers Mascara à prova d’água da Kiko! É uma máscara que promete alongar as pestanas e é mesmo verdade! Tem pequenas fibras, que aderem aos cílios das nossas pestanas e as tornam mais longas. Tenho usado e abusado!

Those who follow us on Instagram have heard a lot about this mascara. This is the Unmeasurable Length Fibers Waterproof Mascara by Kiko! It's a mascara that promises to lengthen the lashes and it's actually true! It has small fibers, which adhere to our lashes and make them longer. I have used it a lot!

E estes são os meus produtos de maquilhagem favoritos para utilizar no verão! Gosto de produtos mais práticos, fáceis de utilizar, rápidos de aplicar, mas que durem. E estes nunca me desiludiram!

And these are my favorite makeup products to use during the Summer! I like products that are more practical, easy to use, fast to apply, but long lasting. And these have never disappointed me!

A MAC lançou a sua colecção de maquilhagem de Verão: a Fruity Juicy! Com tons bem vibrantes, muitas flores e frutas, bem ao estilo do verão.

MAC has launched its Summer makeup collection: Fruity Juicy! With very vibrant colors, lots of flowers and fruits, really summery.

As embalagens desta nova colecção são fantásticas! Muito floridas, com frutas e tons que só lembram o verão. É uma colecção bem completa, a como a marca já nos habituou.

The packaging of this new collection is fantastic! Lots of flowers, fruits and tones that can only remember us of Summer. It is a very complete collection, as it's typical from the brand.

Começamos com a categoria de rosto, onde foram lançados vários bronzers. 
Let's start with the face category, where new bronzers were launched.

Para a maquilhagem ficar toda no sítio o spray fixador da marca também mudou de cara. Agora com um ar mesmo de verão. Este é o MAC Fruity Juicy Prep+Prime Fix+ Coconut! O habitual spray fixador de maquilhagem, que também pode ser utilizado como primer, mas com um novo cheiro, a côco!

Now we move on to the eyes category, where three new eyeshadow palettes were launched. Each palette has six compact shades with different finishes. This is the A La La! with pink tones.

A próxima paleta é em tons mais frios, com verde e azul. Esta é a Love in the Glades!

The next palette has cooler tones, as green and blue. This is the Love in the Glades!

A última paleta é em tons mais quentes e neutros. Esta é a Oh My Banana!

The last palette has warmer and more neutral tones. This is the Oh My Banana!

Passamos agora à minha parte favorita, os batons! Foram lançados quatro novos batons, de várias cores e diferentes acabamentos.

Now we move on to my favorite part, lipsticks! Four new lipsticks, with different colors and finishes, were released.

1- Calm Heat (matte)

2- Shy Girl (cremesheen)

3- Love At First Bite (amplified)

4- Sí, Sí, Me! (satin)

Para complementar os batons, foram também lançados quatro novos lip glosses!

Confesso que adoro tudo nesta colecção! Desde as embalagens fantásticas, com um estampado que só grita verão, aos tons dos produtos. Acho que esta colecção é das mais bem concebidas da marca.

I confess that I love everything in this collection! From the fantastic packaging, with a print that screams Summer, to the colors of the products. I think this collection is one of the best yet designed by the brand.

Beachwear 2017: Bohemian Swimwear

O Verão continua e aqui no blog continuamos a celebrá-lo de todas as formas possíveis. Isso inclui claro mostrar-vos as colecções de swimwear deste ano, tanto de marcas portuguesas como de outras que nós tanto gostamos. Quer já tenham comprado o vosso biquíni para este ano ou ainda estejam à procura do modelo ideal, estas imagens vão de certeza abrir-vos o apetite e deixar-vos cheias de vontade de correr para uma praia JÁ! Posso dizer que a mim pelo menos surtiram esse efeito. Este ano a Bohemian Swimwear lançou a colecção Sunseekers e cada modelo é mais lindo do que o outro. Tanto os biquínis como os fatos de banho, eram todos bem-vindos cá em casa!

Summer is in full swing and here on the blog we continue to celebrate it in all the ways that we can. That includes of course showing you this year's swimwear collections, from Portuguese brands and also from others that we love. Whether you bought your bikini already or you're still on the hunt for the perfect one, these pictures will surely open your appetite and make you want to run to a beach NOW! REVIEW | Everything You Need to Know About the Clarisonic MIA 2

Quem nos segue pelo Instagram viu que um dos presentes de aniversário que recebi foi a Clarisonic Mia 2. Há muito tempo que eu queria experimentar uma das máquinas da Clarisonic, mas ainda não me tinha decidido a comprar, também pelo facto de não serem muito baratas. Mas depois de ter experimentado uma de outra marca e esta se ter estragado rapidamente, decidi que era altura de investir em algo melhor. Entretanto a minha mãe decidiu oferecer-me a mia 2 e eu não podia ter ficado mais feliz por finalmente poder experimentar e vir trazer-vos o review completo! Por isso, sem mais demoras, vamos a isto!

If you follow us on Instagram you saw that one of my birthday gifts was the Clarisonic Mia 2. I've been wanting to try Clarisonic for a while now, but I hadn't made up my mind to buy one, also for the fact that they are not cheap. But after trying one from a different brand and it got damaged really quickly, I decided it was time to invest in something better. Meanwhile my mother decided to offer me the mia 2 and I couldn't be happier for finally being able to try it and bring you the full review! So, without further ado, let's do this!

Começamos pela embalagem, que é super completa. Traz todas as informações (em várias línguas) sobre o seu conteúdo, a forma como a máquina funciona e sobre a tecnologia usada e explica qual é a melhor forma de a utilizar para se tirar o máximo proveito. Além da máquina, do seu carregador e do estojo de viagem, ainda vem também um mini gel de limpeza para utilizar com a mia 2. Let's start by the packaging, which is super complete. It brings all the information (in several languages) about its content, the way the machine works and about the technology used and it explains which is the best way to use it so we can take the most out of it. Besides the machine, its charger and the travel case, it also brings a mini gel cleanser to use with the mia 2.

A tecnologia sónica utilizada na mia 2 não funciona através de vibração nem rotação, ela produz mais de 300 movimentos de oscilação por segundo, agindo assim em sintonia com a elasticidade da pele, limpando a mesma 6x melhor do que com uma limpeza manual.

The sonic technology used in mia 2 doesn't work with vibration or rotation, it produces more than 300 oscillations per second, to work with skin's elasticity, cleaning the skin 6x better than with a manual cleansing.

A mia 2 pode ser usada 2 vezes por dia e pode ser utilizada em todos os tipos de pele, pois apesar de ser muito eficaz e limpar a pele profundamente, é também muito suave na pele e não agride de qualquer forma. Uma das suas muitas vantagens é o cronómetro, que torna a sua utilização muito mais fácil. Ela vibra de forma a que saibamos que temos de trocar de zona do rosto. Assim, a Clarisonic recomenda 10 segundos em cada bochecha, 20 segundos na testa e 20 segundos no nariz e queixo. Ou seja, 60 segundos por dia são o suficiente para deixar a pele lisa, suave e muito mais saudável. Além disso, ainda promete reduzir significativamente os poros, as linhas finas e rugas, permitindo a melhor absorção dos produtos aplicados posteriormente.

Mia 2 can be used twice a day and it's suitable for all skin types, because although it's very effective and it cleans the skin deeply, it's also very soft on the skin and doesn't hurt it in any way. One of its many advantages is the chronometer, which makes the application much easier. She vibrates every time we need to change the area of the face. This way, Clarisonic recommends 10 seconds on each cheek, 20 seconds on the forehead and 20 seconds on nose and chin. It means 60 seconds per day is enough to leave the skin smooth, soft and looking healthier. Besides, it also promises to reduce pores, fine lines an wrinkles, allowing a better absortion of the following products.

Claro que o estojo de viagem não poderia ser mais prático na minha vida, visto que assim não há o perigo de ela se estragar nas malas de viagem. É super prático e conveniente e sinto-me muito mais confortável a transportá-la assim.

Of course the travel case couldn't be more practical in my life, because this way there's no danger it might get ruined in the suitcase. It's super practical and convenient and I feel much more comfortable transporting it this way.

Posso dizer que a minha pele ganhou uma nova melhor amiga! Já estou a usar a Mia 2 há quase um mês, já foi comigo para Ríade e voltou e já não consigo ir dormir sem antes lavar o rosto com ela. Tenho notado muito a diferença, especialmente naqueles dias em que passo um dia inteiro com maquilhagem. A pele fica realmente limpa e lisa, ela retira qualquer vestígio de maquilhagem que tenha ficado depois de me desmaquilhar. 1 minuto chega para ficar com a pele preparada para a aplicação dos restantes produtos de noite e passei a acordar com a pele muito mais brilhante e saudável.

I can say that my skin has won a new best friend! I've been using the mia 2 for almost a month now, it traveled with me to Riyadh and came back and I can't go to bed without washing my face with it every night. I've been noticing the difference, especially on those days when I spend the entire day with makeup on. The skin really looks clean and smooth, it removes any trace of makeup that is left after using a makeup remover. 1 minute is enough to get my skin ready for the application of the night products and now I wake up with a much more luminous and healthy skin every day.

É sem dúvida um bom investimento, caso estejam a pensar comprar uma Clarisonic. Depois de experimentar esta percebo finalmente o sucesso que a marca tem por todo o mundo e a razão de serem tão amadas e desejadas. Acredito que as restantes sejam tão boas como esta.

It's definitely a good investment, in case you're thinking about getting a Clarisonic. After trying this one I finally realize the success the brand has all over the world and the reason they're so loved and wanted. I believe the other ones are as good as this one.
