One night in Serra da Estrela: Plaid Scarf

Eu sei que o blog tem andado um pouco calmo ultimamente, mas chega Dezembro e temos de conseguir conjugar o trabalho, com o lazer e claro tratar dos preparativos para o Natal. Espero que estejam a gostar dos nossos guias de Natal e que estejam a aproveitar as ideias. E peço desculpa pela ausência!

I know the blog has been quiet lately, but when December arrives we have to divide our time between work, leisure and of course getting everything ready for Christmas. I really hope you're enjoying our Christmas guides and that you are enjoying the ideas. And I'm sorry for our absence!

Antes de voltarmos às ideias de presentes, hoje queria mostrar-vos as fotografias que tirámos este fim de semana. Como segunda-feira foi feriado, aproveitámos para ir até à Serra da Estrela e tentar ver um bocadinho de neve. Foi algo muito planeado em cima da hora, pois no Sábado foi quando o meu namorado me decidiu fazer esta surpresa e avisou-me que partiriamos Domingo de manhã. Só tive tempo de abrir uma mala, meter todos os essenciais para sobreviver ao frio e os meus produtos de beleza lá dentro, quase nem tive tempo de decidir o que iria vestir ou calçar, por isso decidi-me pelos básicos que dão sempre resultado.
Before we go back to gift ideas, today I wanted to show you the pictures we took this weekend. We took the weekend off to go to Serra da Estrela and to try to see some snow. It was something planned on the last minute, because only on Saturday my boyfriend decided to make me this surprise and let me know that we would be leaving on Sunday morning. I only had the time to open a bag, grab some essentials to survive the cold and my beauty products, I almost didn't have the time to decide what I was going to wear, so I decided to stick for the basics that are always a good idea.

Foi só ao chegar ao topo da Serra da Estrela e ao sair do carro é que nos apercebemos do frio que estava. O carro dizia 2 graus mas eu acho que estava muito menos! Sabendo que iamos ao topo da serra a primeira coisa que coloquei na mala (além da máquina fotográfica ahah) foram as minhas luvas pretas, um gorro e um casaco comprido e quentinho. A juntar a isto, sabia que tinha de levar o meu cachecol XXL, pois iria ser o meu melhor aliado no frio. Além de ser enorme e muito quente, tem ainda a vantagem de ter dois lados, tendo usado neste dia o padrão de xadrez e no dia a seguir o lado oposto. Dois em um! Ainda agora vai começar o Inverno e já não vivo sem este cachecol!

Only when we arrived to the top of Serra da Estrela and we left the car we realized how cold it was. The car said 2 degrees but I think it was way less! Knowing that we were going to the top, the first thing I put inside the bag (besides my camera of course ahaha) were my black gloves, a beanie and a long and warm coat. Adding to that, I knew I had to bring my XXL scarf with me, it was going to be my best ally in the cold. Besides being giant and so warm, it also has the advantage of having two sides, having used the plaid print on this day and the other side on the next day. Two-in-one! Winter is just starting and I can't live without this scarf anymore!

Espero muito que gostem das fotografias. Conseguimos apanhar o pôr do sol mesmo no topo da serra e as fotos ficaram lindas eheh. Foi um momento lindo! Espero que tenham um bom resto de semana!
