The best makeup products from 2014 by Joana Pedro

Estamos mesmo mesmo a abandonar 2014 e a entrar em 2015! Amanhã é o último dia do ano e como tal tinha de me despedir de 2014 em grande! Hoje trago-vos os produtos de maquilhagem que mais utilizei este ano, posso dizer que são os meus “best of" de 2014.

We are really really close to the end of 2014 and approaching 2015! Tomorrow is the last day of the year and as such I had to make a proper goodbye to 2014! Today I bring you the makeup products I used the most during this year, I can say that they are my "2014 favorites". 

O primeiro produto é o BB Cream da Gernier, este é para peles mistas a oleosas. Já falei dele no blog e não é novidade nenhuma que adoro este produto! De todos os BB Creams que já experimentei este é perfeito para o meu tipo de pele. 

The first product is the BB Cream by Garnier, this one is for combination to oily skin. I have spoken about it here on the blog and it's not new that I love this product! Of all the BB Creams that I have ever tried, this is perfect for my skin type. 

A minha amada base! A Accord Perfect da L’Oreal. Posso comprar imensas bases (e acreditem, tenho uma boa colecção!), mas volto sempre a esta, nunca me desilude. Deixa a pele com um acabamento perfeito e um aspecto luminoso. Sou apaixonada por ela! 

My beloved foundation! The Accord Perfect by L'Oreal. I can buy many foundations (and believe me, I have a good collection of them!), but I always come back to this one, it never disappoints me. It leaves the skin with a perfect finish and a bright look. I'm in love with it! 

A já muito conhecida paleta de olhos, a Naked 2 da Urban Decay. Tenho imensas paletas, mas acabo sempre por usar a mesma, a Naked 2! Apesar de ser em tons neutros, podemos fazer imensas combinações e looks muito versáteis com ela. É por isso que a adoro! 

The already well known eyes palette, the Naked 2 by Urban Decay. I have lots of palettes, but I always end up using the same one, the Naked 2! Despite having neutral tones, we can do unlimited combinations and very versatile looks with it. That's why I love it! 

Já sabem da minha adoração pelos produtos da Sleek Makeup. Este ano tenho utilizado imenso esta paleta de blushes da Sleek. É da gama Blush by 3 e tem como nome Flame. Apesar dos tons parecerem muito fortes, ficam lindos no rosto. 

You know about my love for the Sleek Makeup products. This year I have used this blush palette by Sleek. It’s from the range Blush by 3 and it's named Flame. Although the tones seem to be very strong, they look great on the skin. 

Estes têm sido os meus lápis de olhos mais amados! Só este ano já devo ter comprado uns 15 lápis pretos destes. Gasto imenso lápis preto, pois é o meu preferido e uso diariamente. Estes são perfeitos! São muito macios para aplicar na linha d’água, super pigmentados, duram séculos e são baratinhos. São os Gel eye pencil Waterproof da Essence. 

These have been my most beloved eye pencils! This year I must have bought around 15 of these black pencils. I use black pencil a lot, because it is my favorite and I use it daily. These are perfect! They are very soft to apply on the waterline, super pigmented, they last centuries and are cheap. They are the Gel Waterproof eye pencils by Essence. 

A famosa máscara de pestanas The Colossal Volum Express da Maybelline. Esta é uma das primeiras versões, depois desta a marca já lançou imensas versões da gama Colossal. Por mais máscaras que experimente esta vai ser sempre a minha favorita. Adoro o efeito que dá às pestanas e dura imenso tempo!

The famous Colossal Volum Express mascara by Maybelline. This is one of the first versions, after this one the brand has released several versions from the same range. I can try a lot of mascaras but this one will always be my favorite. I love the effect it gives to the eyelashes and it lasts a long time! 

Este ano foi sem dúvida um ano de grandes paixões. Apaixonei-me pelo eyeliner em gel, agora não quero nem uso outra coisa. Amo este da Catrice! 

This year was certainly a year of great passions. I fell in love with gel eyeliner, now I don't even want to use anything else. Love this by Catrice! 

Nesta época mais fria adoro usar batons em tons mais escuros. Vocês sabem como eu sou viciada em batons e em tons fortes e este não é excepção. Este é o Sugar Plum Fairy da Wet N Wild. Adoro a cor, a pigmentação, tudo! E além disso é um dupe da MAC. 

During the colder seasons I love using lipsticks in darker shades. You know that I'm addicted to lipsticks and strong tones and this is no exception. This is the Sugar Plum Fairy by Wet N Wild. I love the color, pigmentation, everything! And it's also a dupe from MAC. 

Adoro cores vibrantes nos lábios, mas também gosto de um bom hidratante. Este ano tenho andado viciada nos tão famosos EOS (e também viciei a Ana ahahah). Já tenho uma boa colecção deles. São óptimos hidratantes e cheiram divinamente! 

I love vibrant colors on the lips, but I also like a good moisturizer. This year I've been addicted to the so famous EOS (I also made Ana an addict ahahah). I already have a good collection of them. They are great moisturizers and smell divinely! 

E estes são os meus produtos favoritos de 2014! Também são os que mais utilizei este ano, nunca me decepcionam! 

And these are my favorite products from 2014! They are also the ones that I used the most this year, they never let me down!

Nails of the week: Christmas nails with KIKO 239 ❤️

Hi everyone!

Espero que tenham tido um Natal muito feliz, cheio de amor e felicidade. Felizmente o meu foi muito bom, com a família reunida, uma mesa cheia e um Pai Natal muito generoso. Hoje venho então mostrar-vos as unhas que usei a semana passada. E quando é Natal eu sou muito tradicional com as cores, seja no que for. Vermelho nas unhas, dourado pela casa, verde na árvore de natal e por aí adiante. Como tal, escolhi para a semana do Natal um vermelho vivo e vibrante. Eu gosto muito de variar e experimentar várias cores de vernizes mas adoro sempre ver vermelho nas unhas, é tão clássico e intemporal, pode ser usado com qualquer estilo ou cor de roupa e em qualquer altura do ano!

I really hope you had a very happy Christmas, filled with love and happiness. Thank God mine was very good, with the family reunited, a table with good food and a very generous Santa Claus. Today I want to show you the nails I used last week. When it's Christmas I'm very traditional when it comes to colors. Red on nails, gold around the house, green on the tree and so forth. As such, for the Christmas week I chose a very vibrant red. I always like to change and try different colors but I always love red on my nails, it's so classic and timeless, it can be used with any style or any kind of outfit and at any time of the year!

Apresento-vos o número 239 da KIKO. Acho que os vernizes da KIKO ainda não me desiludiram uma única vez, e esta não foi excepção. As cores são lindas e há imensa variedade, o preço é óptimo, a qualidade é fantástica, ou seja, tudo de bom! Este vermelho é perfeito, vibrante e elegante, o tom ideal que eu queria usar durante o Natal, pois não foge nem para o bordeaux nem para o coral/alaranjado. É o vermelho perfeito basicamente!
I present to you the 239 by KIKO. I don't think KIKO nail polishes have ever disappointed me, and this time it was no exception. The colors are beautiful, and there are a lot of them to chose from, the price is great, the quality is amazing, everything is good about them! This red is perfect, vibrant and elegant, the perfect tone I wanted to use during Christmas, because it's not to dark, almost bordeaux, but it's not coral/orange also. It's the perfect red basically!

 

Quando as fotos foram tiradas eu tinha o verniz há 3 dias e continuava impecável, apenas algumas falhas nas bordas das unhas (esta menina não resiste às peles de vez em quando e leva o verniz atrás). O que acham deste vermelho natalício? Que cor escolheram para este Natal?
When these pictures were taken I had this nail polish for 3 days and it was still impecable, only a few fails on the edges (this girl likes to go there sometimes). What do you think about this Christmas red? Which color did you choose this Christmas?

One weekend in Porto

Eu sei que hoje estavam à espera da rubrica da Joana, mas como estamos na semana do Natal a Joana tirou uma folga e eu aproveitei para postar hoje e vir desejar-vos um Feliz Natal.

I know today you were expecting Joana's rubric, but we're on Christmas week and Joana took a break and I decided to post today and come wish you a Merry Christmas.

Como vos tinha dito, fui passar o fim-de-semana ao Porto através do meu trabalho e queria mostrar-vos algumas fotografias que tirei no Domingo de manhã quando consegui ir passear com uma colega minha. Foi a minha primeira vez no Porto e sem dúvida que a zona da baixa foi a minha preferida. Cada prédio é como um monumento e não concordei nada com as pessoas que dizem que o Porto é uma cidade muito escura. Sim, há zonas que poderiam estar mais limpas e mais bem tratadas, mas com um dia lindo como estava não havia como dizer que o Porto é uma cidade escura ou feia. Apesar de termos tido pouco tempo, ainda conseguimos subir à Torre dos Clérigos, entrar na Igreja dos Clérigos, passear pela baixa, ir até à Sé e à Ribeira, onde almoçámos uma francesinha claro!

Like I told you before, I spent the weekend in Porto because of my job and I wanted to show you some pictures we took on Sunday morning when I went to visit the city with a co-worker. It was my first time in Porto and the downtown area was definitely my favorite one. Each building was like a monument and I didn't agree at all with people who say that it's a dark city. Yes, there are some areas that could be cleaner and better treated, but with a beautiful day like it was there was no way I could say Porto was a dark or ugly city. Despite not having a lot of time, we still managed to go up to the Torre dos Clérigos, go into the church, walk downtown, go to the Sé and to the river, where we had a francesinha of course!

O meu look para este dia foi o mais casual e confortável possível. Lembram-se de vos dizer que não conseguia largar o meu cachecol XXL? Pois bem, cá está ele outra vez. É tão prático viajar com ele porque tem dois lados e posso variar de um dia para o outro. A juntar a isso, um casaco quentinho, uns bons jeans e os meus converse e estava pronta para conhecer a cidade.

My look for the day was the most casual and comfy as possible. Do you remember when I told you that I could not let go my XXL scarf? Well, here it is again. It's so practical to travel with it because it's double-sized and I can change from one day to another. Adding to that, a warm coat, good jeans and my converse and I was ready to meet the city.

Adoro combinar pequenos detalhes da mesma cor num look, neste caso o vermelho do cachecol com as riscas vermelhas dos all star.

I love to add little details of the same color in a look, in this case the red from the scarf with the red stripes from the converse.
