With the arrival of Spring, this summer's new bikini collections have also arrived. I bet you guys are already excited with the arrival of Summer, just so you can wear that amazing bikini that has been kept in the closet. I sure am!

More and more bikini brands that are made in Portugal are coming up, so today I want to show you some of those new collections and make you wish just a little bit more for those beach days. This year's collections take us to tropical paradises, through vibrant colors and bohemian prints. We travel to Bali with Cantê, Alentejo with B.kini and we finish our travel in Istanbul with Latitid. There's no way we're not falling in love with all these models, bikinis and swimsuits, and there's something for all women out there. Now you just have to pick. I want one of each please! :)

Currently making me smile...

This week Currently Making Me Smile has twice the favorites, because last week we didn't have this rubric on the blog and the favorites got accumulated. This rubric is perhaps my favorite here on the blog, because I can really show my readers a little bit of myself through my favorite things. So this week you have a good mix of what has been making me smile. Oh and there's also a clue! Something I have always wanted to do and is finally becoming reality (and it's not related to my job, that as you know has always been a dream too)! Can you find out what it is?

Dear New Hire,

Congratulations on earning your wings and welcome to the good life! You have chosen an interesting and exciting path that you will find to be more challenging than you ever thought possible. You probably had no idea what to expect and are still trying to figure everything out. (Hint: there’s a lot more to it than just pouring Coke! ;) ) There will be a lot of ups and downs (literally and emotionally.) You didn’t know it at the time but the “job” you just began is actually a lifestyle. You will know pretty quickly if you enjoy the flight attendant life or not. Somedays you will feel like you are on cloud nine and somedays you will find yourself overwhelmed by sadness. The lack of routine that initially attracted you to the job seemed appealing and fun will eventually loose it’s shine. Sometimes it’s really hard. You might not feel it yet, but the lack of normalcy and loneliness will creep up sooner or later. And when it does; keep your chin up. The job only gets better and it truly is what you make of it. Your job will take you to some amazing places, you’ll make some incredible friendships, and unforgettable memories. When you’re feeling down, just know that you’re on the right path. Then take a second to realize that so many people would love to be in your shoes. Take advantage of every layover and every fun crew. Work hard, be nice to people, use your benefits, and have a blast. Enjoy the crazy ride that is the flight attendant life.

I hope to see you in the friendly skies soon.

Love,

Meghan

Alentejo Day II: Porto Covo

When I told you here that you could wait for amazing landscapes, I wasn't kidding! On the second day we went to Porto Covo, a small village in Costa Vicentina. From there is possible to see the Pessegueiro Island, which is only possible to visit during summer. Because we went during Spring, we had to watch it from affar, but still it was so worth it to visit this lovely village with such an outstanding landscape and perhaps the most beautiful one we saw on the entire trip. I really hope you enjoy the photos and thank you so much for reading and for keeping up with my trips :)
