Primark Makeup Brushes Part 2 by Joana Pedro

Estamos a chegar ao fim de mais uma semana e parece que é desta que a Primavera veio para ficar.

We are getting closer to the end of another week and it looks like Spring is here to stay. 

Hoje venho complementar um pouco o post anterior sobre o kit de pincéis da Primark. Para fazer aquela maquilhagem super glow na Ana utilizei mais dois pincéis da Primark, que não fazem parte daquele kit. 

Today I want to complement the last post about the makeup brushes kit from Primark. To do that super glowy makeup on Ana I used two more brushes from Primark, which are not part of that kit.

Ambos são pincéis duplos, ou seja, têm dois tipos de pincéis num só. O que é fantástico, não acham? E depois com aquele dourado, adoro! Acho que estão muito bem concebidos. 

Both brushes are double, so you have two types of brushes in one. Which is fantastic, isn’t it? And then with that golden touch, I love them! I think they are very well designed. 

Começamos pelo pincel maior e também pelo seu lado maior. Este é um pincel bem volumoso e pouco denso, logo é ideal para a aplicação de produtos em pó. Este pode ser utilizado para aplicar pó no rosto ou até mesmo bronzer no corpo ou iluminador. Porque agora vem aí o tempo mais quente e fica sempre bem darmos um toque especial de brilho ao nosso busto que fica mais à mostra. 

We begin with the largest brush and also by the biggest side. This is a very bulky and less dense brush, so it’s ideal for the application of powder products. This one can be used to apply face powder or even bronzer on the body or illuminator. The warmer weather is coming and it always looks good to give a special touch of brightness to our bust which is more visible.

 

O outro lado deste pincel é também de pó, mas mais pequeno e menos volumoso, o que o torna ideal para a aplicação de blush ou até mesmo de iluminador. 

The other side of this brush is also for powder, but smaller and less bulky, which makes it ideal to apply blush or even illuminator.

O outro pincel duplo já é um pincel para a aplicação de produtos em creme ou líquidos, pois é mais denso, o que torna mais fácil a aplicação e esbatimento deste tipo de productos. 

The other dual brush is a brush to apply liquid or cream products. It’s denser so it's easier to apply and to blend that type of products. 

O primeiro lado deste pincel é um pincel de topo recto, mas angular, o que o torna perfeito para fazermos o contorno. O seu formato encaixa muito bem na zona abaixo do osso na bochecha. É ideal para fazermos aquele contorno à Kardashian, com produtos cremosos. 

The first side of this brush is a brush with a straight but angular top, which makes it perfect to do the contour. Its shape fits nicely in the area below the cheek bone. It’s ideal to do that Kardashian contour with creamy products. 

Tal como o pincel anterior, este é o lado mais pequeno. É um kabuki de topo recto, mas em formato pequeno, o que faz dele o pincel perfeito para o corrector. Eu adorei-o para essa função. 

As the previous brush, this is the smallest side. It’s a flat top kabuki, but in the small format, which makes it the perfect brush to conceal. I loved using it for that purpose! 

Tal como os pincéis do último post, estes são também de boa qualidade. Utilizei-os para maquilhar a Ana e realmente surpreenderam-me pela positiva. Pelo preço são realmente bons e excelentes para quem se está a iniciar neste mundo da maquilhagem. Podem comprar cada pincel individualmente, sendo que estes são de dupla face, mas existem outros que são pincéis simples. Cada pincel custa 2,50€ na Primark.

Like the brushes from the last post, these ones also have great quality. I used them to do the makeup on Ana and they really surprised me in a very good way. For their price, they are really good and great for those who are starting in this world of makeup. You can buy each individual brush, these are double-sided, but there are others that are simple makeup brushes. Each brush costs 2,50€ in Primark.

All Stars Face Palette by KIKO

Hoje sou eu que vou falar de maquilhagem aqui pelo blog. Decidi vir falar-vos de uma paleta de uma das minhas marcas de maquilhagem preferida, a KIKO. Não sou nenhuma profissional, pois para isso temos cá a nossa Joana, mas ainda assim vou dar a minha opinião sincera sobre a paleta pois acho que vos vai interessar saber. Chama-se All Stars Face Palette e como o nome indica é uma paleta de rosto que tem um bronzer, um iluminador e um blush.

Today I'm the one talking about makeup here on the blog. I decided to tell you about a palette from one of my favorite makeup brands, KIKO Cosmetics. I'm no professional, because for that we have Joana here, but yet I'll tell you my honest thoughts about this palette because I think you will want to know. It's called All Stars Face Palette and as the name suggests, it's a face palette with a bronzer, highlighter and blush.

A embalagem é bastante prática, tem uma boa quantidade de produto e o espelho na tampa é grande e dá muito jeito. Em relação aos produtos em si as minhas opiniões dividem-se um bocadinho, pois ao longo dos meses a usar a paleta desenvolvi um amor-ódio por ela. E porquê? Eu passo a explicar!

The package is very practical, it has a great amount of product and the mirror is big and pretty good. Concerning the product itself my thoughts are a little bit divided, because throughout these months using it I developed a love-hate relationship with it. And why? I'll explain!

Comecemos pelo bronzer. A primeira opinião é de que é difícil de espalhar e bastante poeirento. É impossível aplicá-lo sem ter de esbater muito bem logo de seguida com um pincel limpo, pois fica sempre muito forte e ficamos bronzeadas demais, o que não é o pretendido. De seguida o iluminador. Vendo pelos swatches é fácil de perceber que pigmentação não é com ele. Por mais que se esfregue o pincel no produto, ele não agarra, e como tal ao aplicar no rosto nem se nota que estamos com iluminador. Já experimentei aplicar com os dedos e nota-se alguma diferença, embora continue a ser um iluminador muito fraquinho. Terminamos com o blush. Esta é a minha parte preferida da paleta. Este blush é muito pigmentado e a cor é linda, com algumas partículas douradas que deixam a pele ligeiramente iluminada ao mesmo tempo! Porém, mais uma vez é preciso ter cuidado com a quantidade que se coloca no pincel, pois por ser tão pigmentado deixa uma cor muito forte no rosto e tem de ser bem esbatido de seguida.

Let's start with the bronzer. The first thought is that it's very difficult to blend and is pretty dusty. It's impossible to apply it without having to blend it very good with a clean brush right after, because it always looks very strong and we end up too bronzy, which is not what we want. Next up the highlighter. By the swatches is easy to see that pigmentation is not its strenght. The brush won't grab the product, and when applying it it's not even noticeable that we're using highlighter. I've already tried to apply it with my fingers and there is a small difference, but it still is a very poor highlighter. We finish with the blush. This is my favorite part of the palette. This blush is very pigmented and the color is beautiful, with some golden particles that leave the skin slightly illuminated at the same time! However, once again we have to be careful with the quantity of product that we grab with the brush, because it's so pigmented that it leaves a very strong color and it has to be blended very well afterwards.

Na minha opinião, a KIKO tem produtos maravilhosos e com qualidade muito superior a esta paleta. Infelizmente não se tornou uma das minhas preferidas, pelas razões que mencionei. Custa 14,90€ nas lojas KIKO e a minha é no tom 02 Beauty Coral.

In my opinion, KIKO has amazing products and with higher quality. Unfortunately it hasn't become one of my favorites, for the reasons I mentioned. It's available for 14,90€ in KIKO stores and mine is in 02 Beauty Coral.

Alentejo Day IV: Cabo Sardão

Hoje termina a nossa viagem pelo Alentejo, mais especificamente pela Costa Vicentina. No último dia decidimos ir até ao Cabo Sardão, depois da recomendação de um amigo para irmos até ao Farol. Porém, quando se chega ao Cabo Sardão a primeira coisa em que se repara não é propriamente no Farol mas sim na vista. 

Today we finish our journey around Alentejo, more specifically around Costa Vicentina. On our last day, we decided to go to Cabo Sardão, after the recommendation of a friend to go see the lighthouse. Altough, when you get to Cabo Sardão the first thing you notice is not actually the lighthouse, but the view.

Se nos chegarmos mesmo junto à falésia, é possível ver os veios das paredes rochosas, os ninhos das cegonhas em cima das rochas, ouvir as gaivotas a passar mesmo por cima de nós e ver o mar a reluzir. Quase que dá vontade de tocar no mar, de tão perto que está. É uma sensação maravilhosa estar no topo da falésia e sentir aquela ligação entre a terra e o mar. Sem dúvida um local a visitar! Espero muito que gostem das fotos e que tenham gostado da nossa viagem pelo Alentejo :)

If we get really close to the cliff, it's possible to see the shafts on the walls, the storks' nests on top of the rocks, to listen to the storks passing right on top of us and to see the ocean glow. We almost want to touch the ocean, because it's just right there next to us. It's an amazing feeling to be on top of that cliff and feel the connection between land and sea. Definitely a place to visit! I really hope you like the photos and I hope you enjoyed our journey around Alentejo :)
