Hoje decidi fazer um post diferente e que irei fazer sempre que acabar de ver uma série. Há uns tempos terminei a série Donas de Casa Desesperadas. Foram 8 temporadas. Demorou mas foi, ufa!

Today I decided to make a different post and I will make it all the time I finish a series. Some time ago I finished watching Desperate Housewives. There was 8 seasons. It took time but I did it, uhh!

A série foi criada por Marc Cherry e transmitida desde 2004. Passa-se em Wisteria Lane, uma cidade ficcional de Fairview e o tema da série é a vida de 5 donas de casa que todos os dias enfrentam um novo drama ou mistério. Em Portugal, a série passou na FOX, na SIC e na FOX LIFE. Teve 39 indicações ao Emmy Awards e ganhou 7 deles. Em 2005 foi uma das séries mais vistas em todo o mundo.

The series was created by Marc Cherry and was broadcast since 2004. The action happens in Wisteria Lane, a fictional city from Fairview and the subject of the series is the life of 5 housewives that everyday face a new drama or mistery. In Portugal, the series was transmited in FOX, SIC and FOX LIFE. It had 39 nominations to the Emmy Award and it won 7 of them. In 2005 was one of the most watched series in the world.

Embora já tenha ouvido muita gente a dizer que é uma série sem graça e que trata sempre da mesma coisa, eu partilho de uma opinião diferente. Gostei muito da série, embora tenha demorado muito tempo a vê-la, e achei que cada episódio é mais entusiasmante do que o último e o elenco é espectacular (Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher e Marcia Cross, por exemplo). Há uma variedade de temas e confusões que tanto nos dão uma vontade de rir até nos doer a barriga, como nos emocionam até darmos por nós a chorar.

Altough I have heard a lot of people saying that this series has no fun and that talks all the time about the same thing, I share a different opinion. I really liked the series, even if it took a long time for me to see it, and I thought that each episode is more exhilarating than the last and the cast is amazing (Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross, for example). There is a variety of themes and confusions that can make us laugh until our stomach hurts, but it can also move us and make us cry.
