Em breve estou de volta à Arábia Saudita e ao trabalho, por isso estou a aproveitar e a saborear ao máximo cada momento em casa. Mais importante do que isso é saber que quer vá ou quer venha, tenho sempre o apoio incondicional das pessoas mais importantes da minha vida. Não há melhor sensação do que essa, tudo se torna muito mais fácil! Aqui ficam os favoritos desta semana, pequenas coisas que tornaram a minha semana um bocadinho mais feliz :)
Soon I'm back to Saudi and to work, so I'm enjoying each moment at home to the fullest. More important than that is knowing that whether I go or I come back, I always have the unconditional support from the most important people in my life. Summer 2016: TOP 10 After-suns

Falamos sempre sobre a importância do protector solar e do que devemos ter em conta quando nos expomos ao sol. Então e o passo seguinte? Depois de um dia ao sol é muito importante tratarmos da nossa pele e dar-lhe o tratamento de que ela precisa. REVIEW: Sensilis OXYGEN Ultra-Hydrating Intensive Serum

Cuidarmos da nossa pele religiosamente de manhã e à noite é muito importante, e hoje em dia o que não falta são produtos com os mais variados objectivos para nos ajudar nessa tarefa. Dependendo da nossa profissão, podemos estar mais ou menos expostos a determinadas agressões do exterior que podem danificar a nossa pele. Quando comecei a trabalhar, a minha primeira preocupação foi começar logo a hidratar a minha pele muito bem todas as noites, pois estando num clima tão quente e passando às vezes mais de 8 horas num avião, eu sabia que mais cedo ou mais tarde isso se iria notar na minha pele. Antes de ir embora optei por comprar um sérum para adicionar à minha rotina noturna, e é sobre ele que vos venho falar hoje.

Taking care of our skin religiously every morning and night is very important, and nowadays there's a lot of products with different purposes to help us out with that task. Depending on our job, we can be more or less exposed to certain types of external aggressions that can damage our skin. When I started working, my first concern was to start right away moisturizing my skin very well every night, because in such a hot weather and spending sometimes more than 8 hours in a plane, I knew that sooner or later that would take a toll on my skin. Before leaving I bought a serum to add to my night routine, and that's what I came to talk about today.

 

O Oxygen Ultra-Hydrating Intensive Serum da Sensilis foi-me recomendado precisamente por ser de oxigénio, como o nome indica. Isto significa que ele é composto por moléculas de oxigénio que ajudam a eliminar toxinas e estimulam o metabolismo celular. Ele tem uma textura oil-free, perfeito para a minha pele oleosa, e ajuda a aumentar os níveis de hidratação e impermeabilização da pele.

The Oxygen Ultra-Hydrating Intensive Serum by Sensilis was recommended to me precisely for being made with oxygen, as the name implies. This means that it's composed by oxygen molecules that help eliminating toxines and stimulating the cellular metabolism. It has an oil-free texture, perfect for my oily skin, and it helps to increase the levels of hydration and impermeability of the skin.

 

A sua textura é em gel e é como um tratamento choque para a pele. Eu comprei-o na Well's e foi um investimento bastante grande para apenas 30 ml de produto, mas não podia ter valido mais a pena. Optei por usá-lo apenas nos dias em que voava (vamos ser sinceros, depois de gastar tanto dinheiro num produto destes não queremos gastá-lo em apenas 3 semanas, não é?!) antes de aplicar o creme hidratante e a minha pele manteve-se impecável durante o tempo todo em que estive na Arábia Saudita. Fiquei muito satisfeita por ter investido num produto tão caro, mas muito eficiente, que deixou a minha pele hidratada e saudável desde o início.

It has a gel texture and it works like a shock treatment for the skin. It was a pretty big investment for just 30 ml of product, but it couldn't have been a better choice. I only used it on flying days (because let's be honest, after spending that much money in one product we don't want to spend it all in just 3 weeks, right?!) before applying my moisturizer and my skin looked amazing the entire time I was in Saudi. I was very pleased for investing in such an expensive product, but very efficient, that left my skin hydrated and healthy since the beginning.

Como é bom estar em casa! Matar saudades da família, dos amigos, da minha cidade e voltar ao que é familiar e confortável. Melhor ainda é voltar e ter este Verão maravilhoso à minha espera (não é que na Arábia Saudita tenha tido falta de sol ou calor :p), para poder passar os meus dias OFF a aproveitar o ar livre. Quais são os vossos planos para este fim-de-semana? Tenho quase a certeza que vão incluir praia ou piscina, por isso aproveitem! 

It feels good to be home! Enjoying my family, my friends, my city and coming back to what's familiar and comfortable! And even better is to return and to have this amazing Summer waiting for me (not that I didn't get enough sun and heat in Saudi :p), so I can spend my OFF days enjoying the outdoors. What are your plans for the weekend? I'm pretty sure they'll involve the beach or a pool, so enjoy!

Coming back home (lately on instagram)

De volta a Portugal e a casa, venho com o coração cheio. A Arábia Saudita é sem dúvida uma experiência por si só e um grande choque para quem não está habituado à cultura e à religião do Médio Oriente. Por outro lado foi, para mim, uma grande e boa surpresa, conheci pessoas incríveis, aprendi imenso e trago para casa memórias que irão durar uma vida. Ah, e muita vontade de voltar e continuar esta aventura! E é tão bom quando finalmente fazemos o que gostamos e nos sentimos completos no nosso local de trabalho. Acho que através das minhas publicações no Instagram conseguem perceber a felicidade desta Assistente de Bordo, que finalmente está a concretizar o seu sonho. E por agora, 20 dias em casa! Há melhor sensação do que voltar a casa? :)

Back to Portugal and back home, my heart is full. Saudi Arabia is definitely an experience by itself and a big shock for those who are not used to Middle East culture and religion. On the other hand, to me it was a big and good surprise, I met some incredible people, I learned a lot and I bring home memories that will last a lifetime. Oh, and the wish to go back and continue on this adventure of course! And it's so good when we finally do what we enjoy and feel complete doing our jobs. I think that with my Instagram pictures you will see this Flight Attendant's happiness, who is finally watching her dream come true. And for now, 20 days at home! Is there a better feeling than coming back home? :)

REVIEW: Lime Crime Velvetines by Joana Pedro

Já todos sabem que sou viciada em batons e às vezes até uso a minha profissão para comprar mais e nas mais variadas cores. Ultimamente a grande aposta do mundo da maquilhagem são os batons mate. O que é óptimo agora para o verão, pois são de longa duração. 

Everyone knows that I’m addicted to lipsticks and sometimes I even take advantage of my job to buy more and in various colors. Lately the big bet in the makeup world are matte lipsticks. What is great now for summer, because they are long lasting. 

  

Uma das minhas marcas favoritas de batons mate é a Lime Crime, da qual já vos tinha falado aqui no blog. E recentemente adquiri mais dois meninos lindos. Estes são da linha Velvetines. Batons líquidos, que secam completamente mate e que são de longa duração. 

One of my favorite brands for matte lipsticks is Lime Crime, which I had already spoken about here on the blog. And recently I acquired two beautiful babies. These are from the Velvetines line. Liquid lipsticks, that dry completely matte and are long lasting. 

O aplicador é no típico formato de lip gloss, com uma esponja na extremidade, o que torna a aplicação fácil e suave. Comprei duas cores diferentes e vou mostrar-vos cada uma delas.

They have the typical lip gloss applicator with a sponge in the end, which gives a smooth and easy application. I bought two different colors and I will now show you each one of them.

Cashmere 

O primeiro é na cor Cashmere! Um nude com um subtom acinzentado, que agora está muito na moda. Muito Kylie Jenner vibe ahah. No swatch que fiz o batom ainda não estava completamente seco, mas ele fica completamente mate. A pigmentação é fantástica e a durabilidade é mesmo estrondosa. 

The first is in the color Cashmere! A nude with a gray undertone, very Kylie Jenner vibe ahah. On the swatch that I made, the lipstick was not completely dry, but it becomes completely matte afterwards. The pigmentation is fantastic and the durability is really amazing.

E é assim que fica nos lábios! Como podem ver, fica completamente mate e dura séculos! Gosto bastante da cor e acho que no inverno então vai ficar ainda melhor. 

And this is how it looks on the lips! As you can see, it's completely matte and lasts centuries! I really like the color and I think in the winter it will look even better.

Salem 

A próxima cor é o Salem! Um castanho escuro com um subtom burgundy. Porque os lábios castanhos vieram para ficar e até arrasaram nos festivais de verão. 

The next color is Salem! A dark brown with a burgundy undertone. Because brown lips are here to stay and even on summer festivals we saw them a lot. 

Adoro a cor e como fica nos lábios. Tal como o anterior, é completamente mate e é mesmo de longa duração. Para os remover tenho mesmo de utilizar um desmaquilhante bifásico. 

I love the color and how it looks on the lips. Like the previous one, it’s completely matte and really long lasting. To remove them I have to use a two phase makeup remover. 

Adoro a marca Lime Crime e os Velvetines são sem dúvida da minha linha preferida. Batons mate é mesmo a minha perdição. 

I love Lime Crime and Velvetines is definitely my favorite line from them. Matte lipsticks are my perdition.
