Água? Check. Bolachas? Check. Lenços? Check. Telemóvel para tirar umas boas fotos? Claro!
Water? Check! Cookies? Check. Tissues? Check. Phone to take some good photos? Of course!
Quer para nós o Verão seja sinónimo de praia, ou pelo contrário a piscina seja mais a nossa onda, temos sempre de levar connosco todos os essenciais para um dia bem passado (seleccionei recentemente as minhas malas de praia favoritas aqui), por isso hoje venho mostrar-vos aquilo que eu levo sempre na minha mala de praia.
Either for us Summer means beach, or on the contrary the pool is our favorite spot, we always have to carry with us all the essentials for a day well spent (I have recently selected my favorite beach bags here), so today I come to show what I always carry in my beach bag.
Existem coisas básicas, como a carteira com dinheiro para o gelado, a garrafa de água, as bolachas para matar a fome, os lenços e o telemóvel, que estão automaticamente na nossa lista de "tralha" para levar para a praia. Mas e o resto, que é igualmente importante mas que por vezes nos esquecemos? Eis o que eu não dispenso ter na minha mala.
There are basic things, such as our wallet, with money for an ice cream, a bottle of water, some cookies so we don't starve, tissues and our phone, which are automatically in our list of "junk" we take to the beach. But what about the rest, which is equally important but that we sometimes forget? Here's what I never forget to have in my bag.
- Uma revista e um livro. Claro que estar ao telemóvel, ir à água ou simplesmente adormecer debaixo do chapéu de sol à sombrinha é maravilhoso, mas chega a um ponto em que precisamos de algo mais para nos distrairmos. É por isso que levo sempre na minha mala uma revista actual e o livro que esteja a ler nessa altura. É ao sol que eu costumo terminar muitos livros, e o bónus é que ainda apanhamos uma corzinha enquanto lemos a nossa história preferida.
- A magazine and a book. Of course being on our phones, swimming or falling asleep in the shadow sounds wonderful, but after a while we're going to need some entertainment. That's why I always take with me a recent magazine and the book that I'm reading at the moment. It's by the sun that I usually finish lots of books, and the bonus is we get a little color while reading our favorite story.
- Óculos de sol. Esta é bastante óbvia, mas já aconteceu a muita gente sair de casa à pressa e deixar os óculos de sol em cima da mesa. Por isso é que eu nunca os tiro da mala. Além de protegerem os nossos olhos dos raios solares, ajudam imenso a diminuir a luminosidade quando estamos a ler, e claro que é aquele toque que faltava ao desfilarmos o nosso fato de banho preferido.
- Sunglasses. This one is pretty obvious, but it has happened to a lot of people to leave the house in a rush and they forget the sunglasses on the table. That's why I never take them out of the bag. Besides protecting our eyes from the sun, they really help reducing the luminosity while we're reading, and of course they are that final touch while we show off our favorite swimsuit.
- Chapéu. Nem toda a gente tem o hábito de usar chapéu, ou por não gostar de se ver, ou simplesmente por não estar habituado a usar e nem ter nenhum em casa. Mas o chapéu de sol, ou boné, deveria estar na mala de praia de toda a gente. Protege o cabelo dos raios solares e protege o rosto caso não queiramos bronzeá-lo. Pode não ir literalmente dentro da mala, mas está sempre pronto ao seu lado.
- Hat. Not everyone likes wearing a hat, either because they don't like it, or simply never got used to using it and they don't even have one at home. But everybody should take a hat with them. It protects the hair from the sun and our face in case we don't want to tan it. It might not go literally inside the bag, but it's always ready right beside it.
- Bolsa de Cosméticos. Os homens nem sabem o que é isso, perguntam-nos "mas o que é que levas na mala que parece chumbo?" mas depois o protector solar até lhes dá jeito para não ficarem com um escaldão daqueles. Costumo levar sempre um protector solar de rosto (este é da AVON), o protector solar para o corpo (o meu favorito há anos é o Protect&Bronze da Nivea), um spray protector para o cabelo e claro bálsamos hidratantes para os lábios (porque um não chega, chego a levar dois para ter opção de escolha :) ). Costumo levar também um pente pequenino, porque nunca se sabe se depois da praia ou da piscina vai ser preciso ir a algum lado, e é preciso controlar as madeixas claro está!
- Cosmetic Bag. Men don't even know what that is, they ask us "what are you carrying in there that is so heavy?" but later the sunscreen will be good to protect them from getting a giant sunburn. I usually take my face sunscreen (this one is from AVON), the body sunscreen (Protect&Bronze by Nivea has been my favorite for years), a protective spray for the hair and of course lip balms (because one is not enough, I actually take two so I can choose :) ). I also take a small comb, because you never know if you're going somewhere after the beach or the pool, and you need to control the hair of course!
