My Summer Beauty Essentials

 

Ontem o Verão chegou oficialmente e estou quase a ir de férias, logo não havia melhor altura para fazer este post! Dependendo das temperaturas, há produtos que usamos mais numas alturas do ano do que noutras, por isso hoje trago-vos aqueles produtos que são essenciais para mim durante o Verão, uns que já uso há muito tempo e outros que foram descobertas recentes. De certeza que todos eles me vão acompanhar nas minhas férias.
Yesterday summer officially started and I'm almost going on holidays, so there was no better time to write this post! Depending on the temperatures, there are products that we use more in certain times of the year than in others, so today I bring you those products that are essential to me during summer, some that I've been using for a long time and others that were recent discoveries. I'm sure they will all go with me on my holidays.

Começamos pelo cabelo! Desde que descobri o champô seco, tem sido um essencial na minha vida seja no Inverno ou no Verão, e este ano não vai ser diferença. Com o calor, o suor e a humidade do Verão um champô seco é fundamental para conseguirmos manter o nosso cabelo com um ar decente durante mais tempo. Let's start with hair! Since I discovered dry shampoo, it has been an essential in my life whether in the winter or in the summer, and this year it will be no different. With heat, sweat and the humidity from summer a dry shampoo is fundamental so we can keep our hair decent for longer. This XXL one that I bought from Dublin will last a long time, I'm sure! Ainda falando dos cabelos, um produto acabadinho de ser lançado! O novo Supreme Oils da AVON junta 5 óleos que só trazem benefícios ao nosso cabelo. E como hidratar o cabelo é especialmente importante no verão, devido ao sol, ao calor, ao sal da água do mar e ao cloro das piscinas, um produto com base em óleo é fundamental para tratar o nosso cabelo ao fim de um longo dia de verão.

Still talking about hair, a brand new product! The new Supreme Oils by AVON joins 5 oils that only bring benefits to our hair. And because hydrating our hair is specially important during summer, due to the sun, the heat, the salt and chlorine, a product based on oil is fundamental to treat our hair in the end of a long summer day.

Vamos então agora para o corpo. Antes de usar qualquer auto bronzeador (já lá vamos!), de me expor ao sol ou de hidratar a minha pele, eu tenho sempre de a esfoliar. A minha pele tem tendência a estalar e escamar bastante, principalmente depois de apanhar sol, por isso remover as peles mortas antes de mais nada é super importante para mim. Este esfoliante da Oriflame cheira a morango e é super suave, perfeito para o verão!
Let's move on to the body. Before using any self tanner (we're going there!), exposing myself to the sun or hydrating my skin, I always have to exfoliate. My skin tends to crack and peel a lot, specially after sun bathing, so removing any dead skin before anything else is super important to me. This Oriflame exfoliant smells like strawberry and is super soft, perfect for summer!

Protecção: o passo MAIS importante! Por mais que eu coloque protector solar, no início do verão apanho sempre algum escaldão. A pensar nisso, tenho de ter ainda mais cuidado e aplicar bastante protector solar, e não me posso esquecer do rosto. Além de me proteger do sol, ainda previno rugas, sinais e queimaduras solares. A saúde está primeiro, o bronzeado vem depois gradualmente. Este ano estou a usar o Protector Solar para rosto da AVON com SPF 30, e é muito cremoso e nada oleoso, tal como eu gosto.
Protection: the MOST important step! Even if I apply sunscreen, in the beginning of summer I always get sunburnt. Thinking about that, I have to be extra careful and apply a lot of sunscreen, not forgetting about my face. Besides protecting me from the sun, I prevent wrinkles, signs or sunburnts. Health comes first, tanning comes later. This year I'm using the AVON sunscreen for the face with SPF 30, and it's very creamy and not oily, just as I like.

E que tal aliar protecção a um bronzeado mais rápido? É algo que eu quero sempre pois demoro algum tempo a ficar bronzeada, por isso este ano descobri o novo Nivea Protect & Bronze que tem protecção 30 mas tem também óleos que ajudam a bronzear a pele mais rápido, sem colocar em risco a nossa saúde. Já estou a usar e vou usar durante todo o Verão, adoro!

And what about mixing protection to a faster tanning? That's something I always want because I take some time to get tanned, so this year I'm using the new Nivea Protect & Bronze that has SPF 30 but also has oils that help to bronze the skin faster, without putting our health at risk. I'm already using it and I'm sure I'll continue using it thorought the summer, I love it!

Para quando não uso um protector com essas características, utilizo um óleo bronzeador, SEMPRE em cima do protector solar claro. Além de dar um brilho enorme à pele enquanto estou na praia ou na piscina, ajuda imenso a bronzear o corpo mais rápido, que é o que todas queremos nesta altura do ano não é? Este em específico é da Flora Brasil, comprado em Vilamoura o ano passado, e gosto muito do brilho que ele dá à pele.
For when I don't use a sunscreen with those characteristics, I use a bronzing oil, ALWAYS on top of a sunscreen of course.  Besides giving a glow to my skin while I'm on the beach or by the pool, it helps getting a tan faster, which is what we all want this time of the year, right? This one in specific is by Flora Brasil, bought in Vilamoura last summer, and I really like the glow it leaves on the skin.

Para o início do Verão, quando já quero mostrar um bocadinho da pele mas ainda estou muito pálida, opto por um auto bronzeador em creme. É a melhor forma de parecer que já temos uma corzinha, mesmo sem ainda termos posto o pé na praia. Já uso há alguns anos este da AVON, que não é muito forte e fica bastante natural na pele, deixando um brilho muito subtil.

In the beginning of summer, when I want to show a little bit of skin but I'm still very pale, I chose a cream self tanner. It's the best way to look a little more tanned, even without going to the beach once. I've been using this one by AVON for some years now, which is not very strong and looks very natural on the skin, leaving a very subtle glow.

Por fim, os nossos lábios. Mais um local que necessita de hidratação e protecção, tal como a nossa pele e o nosso cabelo. Sempre que estou na praia ou na piscina, estou constantemente a hidratar os meus lábios com um bom bálsamo. Gosto especialmente de levar o Baby Lips Hydrate, pois é muito suave e deixa-me um brilho bonito nos lábios.
Finally, our lips. Another place that needs hydration and protection, just like our skin and hair. Everytime I'm on the beach or by the pool, I'm constantly hydrating my lips with a good balm. I specially like to take the Baby Lips Hydrate with me, because it's very soft and gives some shine to the lips.

Aproveitem o Verão, mas nunca se esqueçam de proteger o vosso corpo, pois ser saudável é o mais importante :)
