My favorite looks from the Cannes Film Festival 2015

Se vieram até ao blog na 5ª feira passada viram a opinião da Joana sobre a maquilhagem de algumas celebridades que passaram na passadeira vermelha de Cannes este ano. Podem ver aqui. Hoje eu trago-vos os meus looks favoritos, pois já se sabe que um festival como este é mais do que simplesmente estreias de filmes, mas sim a forma como todos vão vestidos para as mesmas. A minha opinião é de que cada vez mais as celebridades tentam chamar a atenção com vestidos extravagantes e com demasiada pele à mostra, quando nada disso é necessário para ficarem bonitas e elegantes. Na minha opinião, num evento como este, menos é sempre mais. Aqui fica a prova de que quando elas se ficam pelo "menos" ficam MUITO melhor!

If you visited the blog last Thursday you saw Joana's opinion about the makeup of some celebrities that walked on the red carpet of this year's Cannes Film Festival. You can see it here. Today I bring you my favorite looks, because we already know that a festival like this one is more than the movies premiere, it's about the way how everyone dresses to go to them. My opinion is that celebrities are always trying harder to get attention with extravagant dresses and with too much skin showing, when nothing like that is necessary for them to look beautiful and elegant. In my opinion, in an event like this, less is more. Here is the prove that when they stick for less, they look a LOT better!

Bar Rafaeli é uma das celebridades que nunca é muito falada em relação aos seus looks nas passadeiras vermelhas, mas por acaso é alguém que sempre me surpreende. Desta vez adorei especialmente o seu vestido Roland Mouret. Ela escolheu também o branco do vestido para a mala e para os acessórios e sapatos, mas eu acho que ficou linda e em harmonia.
Bar Rafaeli is one of those celebrities that is not mentioned a lot concerning her looks on the red carpets, but she is actually someone that always surprises me. This time I specially loved her Roland Mouret dress. She also chose the white from the dress to the bag and shoes, but I thought she looked beautiful and in harmony.

Charlize Theron foi a única, ou uma das únicas, que apostou no amarelo. É uma cor que não favorece toda a gente, depende muito do tom de pele da pessoa. Nela ficou perfeito! Este Dior Couture é simples, mas é lindo, e tem um formato que a favoreceu bastante.
Charlize Theron was the only one that bet on yellow. It's a color that doesn't favor everyone, it really depends on the person's skin tone. On her it looked perfect! This Dior Couture is simple, but is beautiful, and has a format that really favored her.

A presença portuguesa neste tipo de festivais cada vez é maior. Este ano estivemos muito bem representados pela Cláudia Vieira e pela Sara Sampaio.  Primeiro que tudo, sou desde já fã da Cláudia Vieira e adorei o seu novo corte de cabelo! Em relação ao look, o conjunto completo, desde o vestido Prada aos acessórios e à maquilhagem, ficou perfeito e foi tudo pensado ao pormenor. Já a Sara Sampaio, vimo-la em vários looks mas este foi o que gostei mais. Um vestido Vionnet em preto e com um decote geométrico lindo. Além do decote ser bastante grande, não mostrou demasiada pele e estava muito elegante.
The Portuguese presence in this type of festivals is getting bigger and bigger. This year we were very well represented by Cláudia Vieira and Sara Sampaio. First of all, I'm a huge fan of Cláudia and I loved her new haircut! Concerning the look, the entire outfit, from the Prada dress to the accessories and makeup, was perfect. Now Sara Sampaio, we saw her in different looks but this one was my favorite. A Vionnet black dress with a beautiful geometric neckline. Besides having a neckline, it didn't show too much skin and she looked very elegant.

Eva Longoria é uma bomba latina, disso ninguém tem dúvidas! Além de ser uma excelente actriz, é lindíssima. Desta vez, num Gabriela Cadena, arrasou! O vestido tinha um decote perfeito e evidenciou as suas curvas perfeitamente. A cauda do vestido e o painel de renda nos lados foram a cereja no topo do bolo!
Eva Longoria is a latin bomb, no one doubts that! Besides being a great actrice, she's beautiful. This time, in a Gabriela Cadena dress, she killed it! The dress had the perfect neckline and it enhanced her curves perfectly. The dress's train and the lace panels on the sides were the cherry on top of the cake!

Normalmente não sou muito fã dos looks de festa da Irina Shayk. Mas desta vez surpreendeu-me com este vestido verde esmeralda lindo. A cor do vestido fez sobressair a cor dos seus olhos e ficou perfeito com o seu tom de pele e de cabelo. 

Usually I'm not that fan of Irina Shayk's party looks. But this time she surprised me with this beautiful emerald green dress. The color of the dress only enhanced the color of her eyes even more and it looked perfect with her skin and hair tone.

Aqui está alguém que nunca me desilude, Jane Fonda. É impressionante como consegue sempre aparecer elegante e com o vestido certo para qualquer ocasião. Desta vez apareceu com este Atelier Versace em azul vibrante e estava mais resplandecente do que nunca.

Here's someone that never disappoints me, Jane Fonda. It's impressive how she manages to always look elegant and with the right dress to any occasion. This time she appeared with this Atelier Versace in a vibrant blue and she was more stunning than ever.

Já à Julianne Moore as coisas podiam ter corrido tão mal, mas até correram muito bem. Ela arriscou com um vestido Givenchy Couture em veludo vermelho e a sua escolha podia ter sido demasiado carregada ou demasiado forte, mas caiu-lhe lindamente e ficou super moderna e irreverente.

To Julianne Moore things could have looked so bad, but it actually worked out well. She took a risk with a Givenchy Couture dress in red velvet and her choice could have been too strong, but it worked out perfectly and she looked super modern and irreverent.

Li Bingbing parecia uma princesa em Zuhair Murad Couture, como já é costume. O azul pastel ficou-lhe muito bem e o vestido era lindo e foi muito bem complementado com a mala e as jóias que Li escolheu. Muito bem!

Li Bingbing looked like a princess in Zuhair Murad Couture, like usual. The pastel blue looked great on her and the dress was beautiful and very well complemented with the bag and jewelry that Li chose. Very well!
 

Lupita Nyong'o escolheu tão bem a cor do seu vestido! Este Gucci é tudo de bom! O tom de pele dela só fez a cor do vestido sobressair ainda mais e o seu penteado e as jóias foram também muito bem escolhidas. Concluindo, estava perfeita!

Lupita Nyong'o chose the color of her dress so well! This Gucci is pure perfection! Her skin tone only enhanced even more the color of the dress and her hair and jewels were also a very good choice. Concluding, she looked perfect!

Quem vê Michelle Rodriguez à porrada nos filmes nunca imagina que existe este mulherão por trás. Estava linda em Zuhair Murad, o vestido acertou-lhe na perfeição e o seu sorriso lindo complementou todo o look da melhor maneira claro. Adorei vê-la assim, uma Michelle muito diferente.

Who sees Michelle Rodriguez in action movies never imagines that there is a woman like this behind her. She was stunning in Zuhair Murad, the dress fitted her perfectly and her beautiful smile only complemented it even more of course. I loved seeing her like that, a very different Michelle.

O vestido de Naomi Watts era bastante especial e também podia ter corrido mal para o lado dela, mas este Elie Saab Couture caiu-lhe que nem uma luva e chamou a atenção por ser tão diferente e arrojado. Gostei muito.

Naomi Watts dress was very special and it could also have looked so wrong on her, but this Elie Saab Couture fitted her like a glove and it called attention for being so different and daring. I really liked it.

Sou sincera, adoro a Natalie Portman. Ela tem sempre um ar tão querido e de princesa que tudo lhe fica bem, mas este vestido vermelho da Dior deixou-a super sexy e elegante, com tudo na medida certa. 

I'm honest, I love Natalie Portman. She always has that sweet and princess look and everything looks great on her, but this Dior red dress made her look super sexy and elegant, with everything in the right measure.
