No fim-de-semana passado eu e o namorado decidimos aproveitar o nosso Domingo para ir almoçar e passear, aproveitando para fazer finalmente a tão desejada visita ao Cristo Rei. Nesse dia estavam algumas nuvens e frio, muito frio (principalmente no topo do Cristo Rei). Foi um domingo delicioso, tal como nós gostamos :)

Last weekend me and my babe decided to enjoy our Sunday and go have lunch and take a walk, finally taking the chance to visit Cristo Rei. On this day there were some clouds and it was very cold (especially on top of Cristo Rei). It was a delicious Sunday, just like we like them :)

E porque eu adoro o frio e o Inverno, como vocês já sabem, aproveitei logo para usar um cachecol e umas botas para me manter quentinha. Neste dia estreei também a minha mala nova da Primark. Esta mala foi um verdadeiro ACHADO! Não vão acreditar quando vos disser que custou 2,50€, pois não? Mas custou mesmo! Obrigado à Primark por ter baralhado as etiquetas ou então por ter saldos muiiiito generosos ahah. Brincadeiras à parte, o preço normal da mala são 11€, o que mesmo assim é um preço super barato para a qualidade da mala. Eu apenas estava com sorte nesse dia na loja pelo que parece ahah! Adoro o contraste do branco com o preto e a corrente da alça em dourado. Definitivamente uma excelente compra na Primark! O que acham da mala? 
And because I love cold and Winter, as you already know, I enjoyed to use a scarf and boots to stay warm. On this day I also used for the first time my new bag from Primark. This bag was a total BARGAIN! You will not believe when I tell you that it coasted 2,50€, right? But it really did! Thank you Primark for changing the tags or for having such generous sales ahah. The normal price of this bag is 11€, which is a super low price for the quality of this bag. I was just lucky that day on the store, as it seems like ahah! I love the contrast of the white with the black and the chain in gold. Definitely an excellent purchase on Primark! What do you think about the bag? 

O restante look ficou bastante simples e confortável, com jeans, botas rasas e um trench-coat perfeito para esta altura do ano. Tenho-o usado imenso ultimamente, pois é super confortável, quentinho q.b., prático e muito versátil. Espero muito que gostem das fotos e se puderem não percam a oportunidade de subir ao Cristo Rei, a vista é magnífica e muito romântica!
The rest of the look was quite simple and comfortable, with jeans, flat boots and a perfect trench-coat for this time of the year. I have been using it so much lately, because it's super comfortable, warm enough, practical and super versatile. I really hope you like the pics and if you can don't miss the chance to go up to Cristo Rei, the view is amazing and super romantic!

E estamos na recta final de mais uma semana de Inverno e muita chuva, mas também já estava na altura deste tempo chegar.

And we're in the end of another week of winter and lots of rain, but it was already time of it to arrive. 

Depois do meu ultimo post (3ªfeira), tenho recebido várias mensagens, pois o post anterior foi uma review de um produto que é um dupe. E começaram a surgir algumas dúvidas entre as nossas leitoras. A maioria delas confunde dupe com réplica, mas são coisas completamente diferentes. Hoje venho esclarecer-vos tudo! 

After my last post (on Tuesday), I have received several messages, because the previous post was a review from a product that is a dupe. And some doubts began to arrive among our readers. Most of them confuse dupe with replica, but these are completely different things. Today I will clarify you about everything!

Dupe 

Comecemos então com a designação de Dupe. Dupe é um produto de uma marca mais acessível monetariamente. Tem a sua própria embalagem e o seu próprio nome, mas o produto em si é igual a outro de uma marca mais dispendiosa. Assim como as suas funções são as mesma que outro produto mais caro. 

Let's begin with the designation of Dupe. Dupe is a product from a more affordable brand. It has its own packaging and name, but the product itself is equal to another one from a more expensive brand.Their functions are also the same as the other more expensive product. 

Aqui no blog já falei várias vezes sobre alguns produtos e marcas que são dupes de outras marcas de renome. Uma delas é a Makeup Revolution, em que falei aqui, em que o batom Salvation Velvet é um dupe perfeito do Velvetine da Lime Crime. Outro post em que falo de um produto dupe é o ultimo post aqui, em que os Lip Smoother da Catrice são dupes perfeitos dos Eclat Minute Embelliseur Lèvres da Clarins. 

Here on the blog I have already spoken several times about some products and brands that are dupes from other brands. One is the Makeup Revolution that I mentioned here, in which the Salvation Velvet lipstick is a perfect dupe from the Velvetine by Lime Crime. Another post where I talk about a dupe is the last post here, in which the Lip Smoother by Catrice is a perfect dupe from the Eclat Minute Embelliseur Lèvres by Clarins.

Replica 

Réplica é um produto que literalmente imita outro. É uma marca branca que duplica tudo de um produto de uma marca de renome. Tudo é igual, desde a embalagem, às cores, aos nomes e à aparência do mesmo. O produto em si é que pode não ser da mesma qualidade, pois as réplicas são mais baratas e há sempre esse risco. 

Replica is a product that literally imitates another. It’s a white label that duplicates everything from a product of a reputed brand. Everything is the same, since the packaging, the colors, the names and the appearance. The product itself may not have the same quality, because replicas are cheaper and there is always that risk. 

Também já falei de réplicas num post aqui no blog. Eu adquiri uma réplica da Naked 2 da Urban Decay e comparei com a Naked 2 original da Ana. Neste caso a compra até me correu bem, mas o produto podia não prestar. Esse é o grande risco das réplicas. 

I have also talked about replicas in a post here on the blog. I got a replica from the Naked 2 by Urban Decay and compared it with the original Naked 2 that Ana has. In this case the purchase went well, but the product could suck. That's the big risk of replicas. 

Como podem ver, réplicas e dupes são coisas completamente diferentes. Réplica é uma imitação e o produto pode não ser de boa qualidade. Dupe é um produto de outra marca e que é da mesma qualidade que um produto de uma marca dispendiosa. 

As you can see, replicas and dupes are completely different things. Replica is an imitation and the product may not have great quality. Dupe is a product from another brand that has the same quality from a product of an expensive brand.

Nails of the week: 93 mezmerised by Essie ❤️

Hi everyone!

O verniz que usei esta semana foi o 93 da Essie que tem o nome de Mezmerised. A minha relação com os vernizes da Essie são um pouco de amor-ódio, e eu explico-vos já porquê (antes que me queiram bater)! A razão é simples, é que por incrível que pareça este verniz dura-me sempre menos tempo sem lascar do que outros vernizes que eu uso, seja da Inocos, da KIKO, ou de outra marca qualquer. Das duas uma, ou este verniz em específico tem algum problema na sua fórmula, ou então os vernizes da Essie não valem assim tanto como se diz por aí. 

The nail polish I used this past week was the 93 by Essie, which is called Mezmerised. My relationship with the Essie nail polishes is a little bit love-hate, and I'll explain the reason to you right away (before you want to hit me)! The reason is simple, as amazing as it sounds this nail polish always tends to last a shorter time without chipping than other nail polishes I use sometimes, whether they are from Inocos, KIKO, or any other brand. Whether this nail polish in specific has a problem in its formula, or Essie nail polishes are not that great as people say. 

Contudo, eu não deixo de usar o verniz pois gosto imenso da cor e o preço dele deixa-me a pensar duas vezes quando olho para ele na hora de escolher a cor da semana. Afinal, se se gasta tanto dinheiro nesta pequena embalagem, deve ter de valer alguma coisa. E lá vou eu dar-lhe mais uma oportunidade.

However, I don't stop using this nail polish because I really like the color and its price makes me think twice every time I look at it when it's time to choose the color of the week. Well, if you spend that much money on this little packaging, it must be worth something. And there I go and I give it another try.

Este azul é tão a cara do Outono/Inverno, não acham? É um azul forte e muito escuro, tal como eu gosto dos vernizes nesta altura do ano, e apesar de eu encontrar aquele problema de lascar rapidamente, continuo a achar que o verniz tem um brilho super intenso e que dura uma semana. É uma cor que foge bastante ao típico vermelho ou rosa, mas ainda assim considero uma cor bastante elegante e fora do vulgar. Estas fotos foram tiradas no final do quinto dia. O que acham desta cor? Partilham da minha opinião em relação aos vernizes da Essie? 

This blue is so the face of Fall/Winter, don't you think? It's a strong and very dark blue, just as I like the nail polishes to be at this time of the year, and despite finding that little problem of fast chipping, I still think the nail polish has a super intense shine that lasts a week. It's a very different color, different from the normal red or pink, but yet I consider it a very elegant and unusual color. These pictures were taken on the fifth day. Já ouviram falar nos Eclat Minute Embelliseur Lèvres da Clarins? Provavelmente sim, porque eles andam na boca do mundo. São embelezadores de lábios, que com uma fórmula de gloss dão um pouco de cor e hidratação aos mesmos. Existem três cores diferentes e  o preço deles ronda os 30€. 

Have you heard about the Eclat Minute Embelliseur Lèvres by Clarins? Probably yes, because they are on everyone's mouth. They are beautifying and, with a glossy formula, give a little bit of color and hydration to the lips. There are three different colors and their price is around 30€. 

Mas agora existe uma alternativa bem mais barata. É a isto que se chama dupe. Dupe é um produto que é praticamente igual e que faz as mesmas funções que um de uma marca mais dispendiosa. Atenção que nada tem a ver com réplicas! 

But now there is a much cheaper alternative. This is what is called a dupe. Dupe is a product that is practically the same and has the same functions from one from a more expensive brand. But keep in mind that it has nothing to do with replicas! 

Estes são os Beautifying Lip Smoother da Catrice. Tal como os da Clarins, são embelezadores de lábios. Também na fórmula de gloss e com uma embalagem muito semelhante. Estes estão disponíveis em quatro cores e o seu preço é de aproximadamente 5€.

Este é o meu Beautifying Lip Smoother da Catrice. Só a embalagem já apaixona, não é? O meu é na cor 030 Cake Pop. Um rosa claro muito subtil e feminino, perfeito para o dia a dia, pois ao mesmo tempo hidrata e embeleza os lábios. 

This is my Beautifying Lip Smoother by Catrice. The packaging already makes you fall in love, right? Mine is in the color 030 Cake Pop. A very subtle and feminine light pink. Perfect for day to day, because it moisturizes and beautifies your lips.

Vêm naquela linda embalagem de efeito tubo. São muito práticos de transportar connosco no dia a dia e a aplicação é muito fácil, sem desperdiçar produto. Como aplicador trazem uma “esponja” muito suave, ao aplicarem é como se estivessem a massajar os lábios, a sensação é deliciosa! 

They come in this beautiful tube packaging. They are very practical to carry with us on a daily basis and the application is very easy, without wasting product. As an applicator, they bring a very soft "sponge", while applying it, it feels like you're massaging the lips, the feeling is delicious! 

Mostro-vos agora um swatch do meu Beautifying Lip Smoother na cor Cake Pop. Como é óbvio não é tão pigmentado como um batom, pois é apenas um embelezador de lábios. Mas dá um ligeiro toque de cor e é perfeito para um look mais simples. O produto é excelente! Sabem que não sou fã de glosses, mas rendi-me a estes. A consistência do produto é perfeita, não tem aquele efeito pegajoso, a cor tem uma óptima durabilidade e o cheiro é maravilhoso. 

I now show you a swatch from my Beautifying Lip Smoother in the color Cake Pop. Obviously it's not as pigmented as a lipstick. But it gives a slight touch of color and is perfect for a simpler look. The product is great! You know that I‘m not a fan of glosses, but I'm surrendered to these ones. The consistency of the product is perfect, they don’t have that sticky feeling, the color has a great durability and the smell is wonderful.

O meu tom natural de lábios é um pouco escuro, com um subtom castanho, por isso este produto deixa-os com uma bonita tonalidade de rosa claro. Fica com aquele efeito glossy, mas sem deixar os lábios pegajosos e a sensação de hidratação é duradoura. 

My natural lip color is a bit dark, with a brown undertone, so this product leaves them with a beautiful light pink shade. It has that glossy effect, but without leaving the lips sticky and the feeling of hydration is long-lasting.

Shower Body Lotion by NIVEA

O produto de que venho falar hoje já foi muito falado na internet e foi algo que suscitou muito interesse pela inovação e praticidade que trás para as nossas vidas. Nunca tinha chegado a comprar, talvez por ter medo de gastar dinheiro à toa, até que a minha mãe no outro dia chegou a casa com ele e eu quis logo experimentar claro. Estou a falar do Body Lotion para duche da Nivea. O que eu experimentei foi o de Mel e Leite, para pele normal a seca. Já devem conhecê-lo claro! É o primeiro condicionador para corpo, que pode ser usado no banho logo depois do gel de banho e age como uma loção corporal. Até aqui adoro a ideia! Naqueles dias em que temos mais pressa, usamos este produto e podemos saltar o passo da loção corporal quando sairmos do banho (algo que eu não dispenso nunca, como vocês já sabem).
The product I'm going to talk about today has been mentioned a lot on the internet and it was something that interested me by the innovation and practicality it brings into our lives. I had never bought it, maybe because I was afraid of spending money and not liking it, until my mother got home the other day with it and I immediately tried it. I'm talking about  the Shower Body Lotion by Nivea. The one I tried was the one from Honey and Milk for normal to dry skin. You probably know it already! It's the first body conditioner, that can be used in the shower right after using a normal shower gel and acts like a body lotion. Loving that idea! On those days when we're on a rush, we can use this product and we can jump the body lotion when we get out of the shower (something I don't miss ever, as you already know).

A ideia é fantástica, mas ainda assim acho que vou continuar a usar o meu creme corporal diariamente como sempre fiz. E aqui estão as razões: 
The idea is amazing, but yet I think I'll continue to use my body lotion daily like I always did. And here are the reasons why:

- Apesar de ser um produto muito suave e cheiroso, achei que era um pouco complicado de espalhar.

- Se não tivermos cuidado caimos dentro da banheira quando o estamos a retirar com água, pois deixa o piso super escorregadio (daí ser muito importante lermos a parte de trás da embalagem).

- Depois de sair do banho e secar a pele não notei grande hidratação na minha pele.
- Despite being very soft and smelling very good, I thought it was a little bit difficult to spread.
- If we're not careful we may fall on the bathtub when we're removing it with water because it leaves the floor super sleepy (that's why it's very important to read the back of the package).
- After leaving the shower I didn't notice that much hydration on my skin. 

Claro que a minha opinião não passa disso, uma opinião, e para outras pessoas este produto pode fazer maravilhas. Mas eu estou aqui para dar a minha opinião sincera, e como tal acho importante dizer o que achei realmente. Mesmo sem ter sentido a sua acção em mim, acho a ideia super prática e um produto muito útil para aqueles dias em que temos pressa mas ainda assim queremos alguma hidratação na nossa pele. Também tem um cheirinho agradável, o que é sempre importante.
Of course my opinion is nothing more than that, just a thought, and for other people this product may do wonders. But I'm here to give my honest opinion and as such I think it's important to say what I really think. Even without feeling its total action on me, I think the idea is super practical and it is a very useful product for those days when we're on a rush but we want some hydration on our skin. It also has a very pleasant smell, which is always a bonus.

Esta semana usei o verniz Fandango da INOCOS. Eu sou fã desta marca de vernizes há muito tempo. Tem uma grande variedade de cores, a duração do verniz nunca me desilude e a fórmula é fantástica. Além disso estes vernizes têm um preço super baixo para a qualidade deles, e quando encontrei este em promoção por 1,99€ não consegui resistir.

This past week I used the Fandango nail polish by INOCOS. I have been a fan of this nail polish brand for a while. It has a great variety of colors, the duration of the nail polish neves lets me down and the formula is amazing. Besides that, these nail polishes have an amazingly low price for their quality, and when I found this one at sale for 1,99€ I just couldn't resist.

A cor que usei durante esta semana é uma cor que me lembra muito o morango. Não é vermelha, mas também não é rosa. É uma cor que fica no meio desses dois tons e que eu adoro e acho super feminina. Estas fotos foram tiradas ao quarto dia e ainda não se via nenhuma lasca e o brilho do verniz continava impecável!

The color I used this week is a color that reminds me the color of a strawberry a lot. It's not red, but it's not pink also. It's a color between those two tones and I love it and I think it's super feminine. These pictures were taken on day 4 and there was still no chip at sight and the shine of the nail polish was still impeccable!
