FIA- A world of cultures

Good morning!

Ontem foi dia de ir visitar a Feira Internacional do Artesanato (FIA), na FIL do Parque das Nações. Como todos os anos, adorei e saí de lá cheia de sacos!

Yesterday was the day to visit Feira Internacional do Artesanato (FIA), in FIL in Parque das Nações. Like every year, I loved it and I got out of there full of bags.

Para quem não conhece, a FIA foi inaugurada a 8 de Julho de 1988 e é considerada a maior feira de artesanato da Península Ibérica e a segunda maior da Europa. Tem cerca de 500 expositores de vários continentes e mais de 100.000 visitantes. A FIA-Lisboa mostra-nos o património material e imaterial de cada região e promove os seus produtos únicos e uma gastronomia de excelência. Encontramos expositores de todos os cantos de Portugal, do Brasil, do Senegal, da Rússia, da China e do Egipto, entre muitos outros.

To the ones who don't know, FIA was created in 8 of July of 1988 and it's considered the biggest craft fair in the Iberian Peninsula and the second biggest in Europe. It has about 500 exhibitors from several continents and over 100.000 visitors. FIA-Lisboa shows us the material and immaterial patrimony of each region and promotes their unique products and an excellent gastronomy. We find there exhibitors from all corners of Portugal, Brasil, Senegal, Russia, China and Egypt, among others.

Achei que este ano a feira tem mais expositores, com produtos diferentes dos anos anteriores e como sempre é uma delícia visitar e conhecer essas culturas que por aí andam e das quais nós sabemos tão pouco. Acho também fantástico a feira ter um pavilhão inteiramente dedicado à cultura portuguesa, pois somos um país com tanto para oferecer e temos coisas realmente maravilhosas.

I thought that this year the fair has more exhibitors, with different products from the last years and as always it's a delight to visit and get to know these cultures that are around us and which we know so little about. I also find fantastic that the fair has a pavilion entirely dedicated to the portuguese culture, because we are a country with so much to offer and we have really amazing things.

Se ainda não foram visitar, aproveitem que a feira mantém-se até dia 14 deste mês e as entradas não são muito caras (as crianças até aos 10 anos não pagam e estudantes pagam 2 euros, sendo o bilhete normal 5 euros). O horário é das 15h00 às 24h00 e na zona dos restaurantes das 12h30 às 24h00. 

If you had not yet visit it, enjoy that the fair is open until 14 of this month and the tickets are not that expensive (children until 10 don't pay, students pay 2 euros, being the normal ticket 5 euros). The schedule is from 15h00 to 24h00 and in the restaurants area from 12h30 to 24h00.

Decidi fazer este post por ser algo da minha vida que quero partilhar com os meus leitores e por me aperceber que nem toda a gente conhece a feira e tem assim oportunidade de conhecer e ir visitar.

I decided to make this post because it's something about my life that I want to share with you and because I realize that not everybody knows about this fair and this way has the opportunity to know it and go visit it.
