Going pink for October: pink makeup tutorial by Joana Pedro

Olá a todos! O post de hoje é um pouco mais especial que os outros, pois está relacionado com o movimento Outubro Rosa. Este é um movimento que está a correr o mundo e serve para alertar para a prevenção e apoio ao cancro da mama. 

Hello lovelies! Today's post is a bit more special than the others, because it’s related to the Pink October movement. This is a movement that is running the world and aims to draw attention to the prevention and support of breast cancer.

Para este movimento decidi fazer uma espécie de tutorial de maquilhagem (tinha de ser não é?) em tons de rosa. Este foi o resultado final! Agora vou explicar-vos passo a passo como fazer esta maquilhagem. 

For this movement I decided to create a makeup tutorial (so obvious, right?) in pink shades. This was the final result! Now I’ll explain to you step by step how to do this makeup look. 

Primeiro preparei a minha pele. Digam-nos se estiverem interessadas em que eu vos mostre todo o processo da preparação de pele. Depois apliquei um fixador de sombras em todo o meu olho. E logo de seguida comecei com as sombras. 

First I prepared my skin. Tell us if you are interested in me showing you the entire process of my skin preparation. I then applied an eye primer on my entire eye. And then I began with the eye shadows. 

Comecei com a paleta Oh So Special da Sleek. Utilizei uma sombra rosa clara e de acabamento shimmer. Esta é a Organza! 

I started with the Oh So Special palette by Sleek. I used a soft pink eye shadow with a shimmery finish. This is the Organza! 

Apliquei-a em toda a pálpebra móvel. 

I applied it across the entire mobile eyelid. 

A seguir utilizei uma sombra rosa vibrante e mate. Também da mesma paleta, esta é a Ribbon! 

Then I used a vibrant pink shadow with a matte finish. Also from the same palette, this is Ribbon! 

Apliquei-a com um pincel de esfumar na zona do côncavo e subindo ligeiramente para o osso da sobrancelha, para que a cor fique evidenciada. 

I applied it with a blending brush on the concave and going up to the brow bone, so the color can be seen. 

De seguida utilizei a paleta Naked 3. Com a sombra Darkside, que é um roxo com um subtom castanho. 

Then I used the Naked 3 Palette. With the Darkside shadow, which is a purple with a brown undertone.  

Escureci ligeiramente o côncavo, aplicando-a apenas na dobra do olho. 

I slightly darkened the concave, applying it only on the crease of the eye. 

Continuei a utilizar a mesma paleta. Desta vez usei a sombra mais escura, a Blackheart, que é um beringela escuro.

I continued to use the same palette. This time I used the darkest shadow, Blackheart, which is a dark eggplant color. 

Com um pincel de esfumar, apliquei a sombra no canto externo do olho, para criar assim um efeito esfumado. 

With a blending brush, I applied the eye shadow on the outer corner of the eye, to create a smoky effect. 

Para finalizar com as sombras, utilizei uma sombra cintilante também da mesma paleta. Esta é a Dust! Apliquei-a no canto interno do olho e no osso da sobrancelha. Para iluminar e levantar o olhar.

To finish with the eye shadows, I used a sparkling shadow also from the same palette. This one is Dust! I applied it on the inner corner of the eye and on the brow bone. To brighten and highlight the look. 

De seguida utilizei um eyeliner em gel preto. Com um pincel fino de delinear, fiz um eyeliner fino ao estilo gatinho. Depois, deliniei toda a linha d’água com um lápis preto.  Para finalizar os olhos utilizei uma máscara de pestanas de volume, em preto. Usei e abusei da máscara. Pois uma maquilhagem como esta merecia um pestanão!

Then I used a gel eyeliner in black. With a thin eyeliner brush, I made a thin cat eyeliner. I then delineated the entire waterline with a black eye pencil. To finish the eyes I used a volume mascara, in black. I used a lot of mascara. A makeup like this deserved huge eyelashes! 

Para finalizar a maquilhagem, apliquei um batom rosa vibrante e hidratante, do qual já falei aqui no blog. O Pout Polish da Sleek na cor Afterparty! 

To finalize the makeup, I applied a vibrant pink and moisturizing lipstick, which I already told you about here on the blog. The Sleek Pout Polish in the color Afterparty! 

E este foi o resultado final da maquilhagem!

And this was the final result of the makeup!

Espero que tenham gostado desta iniciativa relativa ao movimento Outubro Rosa. Como mulher, acho que é um movimento bastante importante e que deve ser levado a todo o mundo.

Nails of the week: 260 Funtime Fuschia by Rimmel London ❤️

Enquanto há sol e calor ainda me apetece usar cores vibrantes e alegres nas unhas. Durante o Outono e Inverno eu recorro sempre a cores mais escuras, mas como despedida das cores veranis, a semana passada ainda escolhi pintar as unhas com este rosa forte. É o 260 Funtime Fuschia da Rimmel London.
While there's still sun and hot weather I still want to use vibrant and fun colors on my nails. During Fall and Winter I usually go to darker tones, but as a goodbye to summery colors, last week I chose to paint my nails with this vibrant pink. It's the 260 Funtime Fuschia by Rimmel London.

Este deve ser o verniz que eu tenho que seca mais rápido! Ele diz que demora 60 segundos a secar. Não sei se demora assim tão pouco tempo mas até a minha esteticista ficou surpreendida por ter secado tão rápido. O aplicador torna a aplicação super fácil e quase não pinta por fora da unha quando se está a pintar! A cor é linda, super feminina e chamativa, e fica linda nas unhas! Estas fotos foram tiradas ao dia 4 e quase não se viam lascas. Apesar de ter um top coat por cima, nota-se que o próprio verniz tem um brilho intenso e a cor manteve-se durante quase uma semana.
This has to be the nail polish that dries the fastest around my collection. It says it takes 60 seconds to dry. I don't know if it takes that little but even my beautician was surprised because it dried so fast. The applicator makes everything so easy and it almost doesn't smudge outside the nail! The color is beautiful, super feminine and vibrant, and it looks beautiful on the nails! These pictures were taken on day 4 and there were almost no chips at sight. Although it has a top coat on top, you can tell the nail polish itself has a very intense shine and the color remained intact for almost a week.

Este ano a KIKO está em grande! Parece ser um ano promissor para a marca italiana. A KIKO lançou mais uma nova colecção, esta de edição limitada e cheia de brilho e glamour. Hoje mostro-vos um pouco da Luxurious! 

This year seems to be the year of KIKO! It seems to be a promising year for the Italian brand. KIKO released another new collection, this one is limited edition and full of sparkle and glamour. Today I'll show you some products from the Luxurious collection! 

A marca apostou numa colecção mais pequena, com menos produtos, mas com melhor qualidade. As embalagens são todas em dourado, muito inovadoras, dando assim um aspecto de luxuosas e dispendiosas. Adoro! 

The brand opted for a smaller collection with less products, but with better quality. The packages are all in gold, very innovative, thus giving an appearance of luxury and expensive. I love it! 

Mostro-vos agora mais detalhadamente alguns produtos desta luxuosa colecção. 

I now show you in more detail some products from this luxurious collection. 

Começamos pelo produto de rosto. Este é um pó bronzeador e iluminador no formato compacto. Com um padrão super giro, que nos consegue dar uma cor bronzeada e iluminar ao mesmo tempo. Este é o Precious Illuminating Bronzer! 

We begin with a face product. This is a bronzer and illuminator in a compact format. With a super gorgeous design, which can give us a tanned color and highlight at the same time. This is the Precious Illuminating Bronzer! 

A colecção conta também com um corrector iluminador. No típico formato de caneta, em que temos de rodar a parte de baixo para que o produto saia no pincel. É bastante prático e perfeito para o dia-a-dia. Este é o Magnificent Highlighter!

The collection also has an illuminator concealer. In the typical pen format, we have to rotate the bottom so that the product comes out on the brush. It’s very practical and perfect for day-to-day. This is the Magnificent Highlighter! 

O próximo produto é o lápis de olhos da colecção. É um lápis retráctil, de longa duração e com uma fórmula bastante cremosa, ideal para aplicar na linha d’água. Este é o Sumptuos  Kajal!

The next product is the eye pencil from the collection. It's a retractable pencil, long lasting and with a very creamy formula, ideal to apply on the waterline. This is the Sumptuos Kajal! 

O produto seguinte é da gama de olhos, é a sombra de olhos desta colecção. A marca decidiu apostar em sombras cremosas, de longa duração e todas com efeito shimmer, dando assim um olhar cheio de luz e glamour. Esta é a Supreme Eyeshadow e existem quatro cores diferentes. 

The next product is from the eyes range, it's the eyeshadow from this collection. The brand decided to invest on creamy shadows, long lasting and all with a shimmer effect, thus giving a light and full of glamour look. This is the Supreme eyeshadow and there are four different colors. 

O produto que se segue é a máscara de pestanas. Esta é uma máscara de volume, com um aplicador muito particular que promete alongar as pestanas e dar-lhes um efeito curvado durante todo o dia. É a Divine Reflections Volume Mascara! 

The following product is a mascara. This is a volume mascara, with a very special applicator that promises to lengthen your lashes and give them a curved effect throughout the day. It’s the Divine Reflections Volume Mascara! 

Claro que uma colecção de maquilhagem não estaria completa sem um pincel. A KIKO lançou mais um pincel de rosto, um kabuki. Muito prático para a aplicação de pó compacto ou até mesmo solto. E também um necessaire de maquilhagem, todo em dourado a acompanhar toda a colecção. Adoroooo! 

Of course that a makeup collection wouldn’t be complete without a brush. KIKO released another face brush, a kabuki. Very practical for the application of compact or even loose powder. And also a necessaire for makeup, in gold to follow the theme of the entire collection. I love this! 

E esta é a Luxurious! A nova colecção de edição limitada da KIKO. Adorei esta nova colecção, apesar de ser mais pequena, os produtos são fantásticos, até mesmo as embalagens. Acho que o nome se adequa na perfeição! 

And this is the Luxurious! A new limited edition collection by KIKO. I love this new collection, despite being smaller, the products are fantastic and the packages also. I think the name fits it perfectly!

My skincare routine

Morning!

Como foi o vosso fim-de-semana? Hoje vim partilhar convosco a minha rotina de pele. A minha escolha cai sempre em produtos básicos e prácticos, nada muito complicado nem cheio de ingredientes estranhos, pois sejamos sinceras, nenhuma de nós gosta de passar uma hora a tratar da pele à noite, porque estamos cansadas e só queremos é vestir o pijama e ir dormir. E hoje em dia isso já não é necessário, 3 ou 4 produtos são o suficiente para tratar a nossa pele e deixá-la limpa e cuidada rapidamente.
How was your weekend? Today I come to share with you my skincare routine. My choice is always on basic and practical products, nothing too complicated or full of strange ingredients, because, let's be honest, none of us like to spend an hour treating our skin at night, because we're tired and we just want to get in our pajamas and go to bed. And nowadays that's not necessary anymore, 3 or 4 products are enough to treat our skin and let it clean and taken care of very quickly.

Primeiro vem a limpeza, se calhar o passo mais importante! Primeiro que tudo, e depois de retirar as lentes de contacto claro, retiro toda a maquilhagem dos olhos com a Água Micelar da Garnier em dois discos de algodão. E a este pode-se chamar um produto práctico! É um 3 em 1, além de desmaquilhar e limpar a pele, ainda a tonifica. Daí não estar a usar um tónico de momento, porque depois de ter experimentado esta água micelar não quero mais nada! Depois da maquilhagem dos olhos ter saído, utilizo então as toalhitas desmaquilhantes da Nivea (que já foram referidas MUITAS vezes aqui no blog, pois tanto eu como a Joana as adoramos). Por vezes, e estou a fazê-lo neste momento, alterno com as toalhitas da Garnier.
First comes cleaning, perhaps the most important step! First of all, after removing my contact lenses of course, I remove my eye makeup with the Micellar Water by Garnier in two cotton pads. Talking about practical products! This one is 3-in-1, besides removing makeup and cleaning the skin, it also tones up the skin. That's why I'm not using a toner right now, because after trying this micellar water I don't want anything else! After the makeup is out, I then use the Nivea wipes (that have been mentioned on the blog A LOT, because me and Joana love them). Sometimes, and I'm doing that right now, I change for the Garnier ones.

E como já sabemos, a maquilhagem nunca fica totalmente retirada apenas com o desmaquilhante, por isso é importante lavar a pele com um produto suave de forma a retirar os restos de sujidade ou maquilhagem que possam estar na pele. Para isso utilizo há alguns anos o Gel de Limpeza Purificante da Noviderm. Por fim, vem a hidratação, e para isso utilizo também há muitos anos o Creme de cara da Noviderm também. Ambos estes produtos já foram referidos aqui no blog neste post, pois foram recomendados pelo meu dermatologista e eu não os troco por nada!
And as we already know, makeup doesn't get totally removed only with the makeup remover, so it's important to wash the face with a soft product so it removes any residue of dirt or makeup that can be on the skin. For that I have been using for some years the Purifying Cleansing Gel by Noviderm. Finally, it comes the hydration, and for that I use the face moisturizer by Noviderm also. Both these products have been mentioned here on the blog, because they were both recommended by my dermathologist and I'm not changing them for nothing!

E pronto, no espaço de 10 minutos tenho a pele limpa, tonificada e hidratada. Prontinha para ir dormir! De manhã faço apenas este dois últimos passos, lavo a cara com o gel de limpeza e coloco o creme hidratante.  
And that's it, in 10 minutes I have my skin cleaned, toned and hydrated. Ready to go to bed! In the morning I take these two last steps, I wash my face with the gel and I use my moisturizer.

Nails of the week: Cherry Jubilee by AVON ❤️

Arranjar as unhas em casa era quase como uma terapia para mim, mas agora com menos tempo para isso prefiro recorrer ao salão e assegurar-me de que tenho sempre as unhas arranjadas, que é algo muito importante para mim e para o meu trabalho. Como tal, decidi começar a dar mais importância a unhas aqui no blog e irei começar a mostrar-vos os vernizes que uso semana a semana. Sim, porque lá por arranjar as unhas no salão continuo a usar os meus vernizes eheh.

Doing my mani at home was almost like a therapy for me, but now with less time to do it I prefer to go to the saloon and make sure that I always have my nails done, which is something very important to me and for my job. As such, I decided to start paying more attention to nails here on the blog and I'll start showing you the nail polishes I use every week. Yes, because even doing my nails on the saloon I still use my very own nail polishes eheh.

O verniz que usei a semana passada foi o Cherry Jubilee da AVON. A cor burgundy é super Outono/Inverno e eu adoro vê-la nas minhas unhas. A fórmula deste verniz é óptima, duas passagens são o suficiente para ficar opaco e tem uma duração fantástica. Estas fotografias foram tiradas ao terceiro dia e ainda não havia uma única lasca à vista e passado uma semana o brilho mantém-se e a cor permanece opaca. O que acham desta cor? Gostam dos vernizes da AVON?

The nail polish I used last week was the Cherry Jubilee by AVON. The burgundy is so Fall/Winter and I love seeing it on my nails.The formula is great, two coats are enough for it to look opaque and it has a great lasting power. These pictures were taken on day 3 and there was no chip at sight. After a week the shine is still the same and the color remains opaque. What do you think about this color? Today I bring you a review! A product that was offered to me recently and that I'm loving! 

Apresento-vos o Pout Polish da Sleek Makeup! Esta é uma novidade da marca, como a própria diz é um “tinted lip conditioner”, ou seja, um hidratante labial com cor. 

I present to you the Pout Polish from Sleek Makeup! This is a new product from the brand, as it already says, it's a "tinted lip conditioner", or a lip balm with color. 

O meu é na cor 959 The Afterparty. Um rosa bem vivo e forte. Este potinho fantástico traz 4.5g de glamour. O Pout Polish tem também SPF 15, o que é fantástico para o Verão e até mesmo para estes dias quentes que se avizinham. 

Mine is in the color 959 The Afterparty. A vivid and strong pink. This fantastic little pot brings 4.5g of glamour. The Pout Polish also has SPF 15 which is great for summer and even for these hot days ahead. 

Mostro-vos agora mais pormenorizadamente um pouco deste fantástico produto. 

I now show you in more detail this fantastic product. 

Fiz um swatch para que possam ver melhor como este produto é pigmentado. Aquele brilho visível da foto é devido à sua característica hidratante. O produto é muito suave, fácil de espalhar e bastante cremoso. 

I made a swatch so you can see better how this product is so pigmented. That shine that is visible on the picture is due to its moisturizing effect. The product is very soft, easy to spread and very creamy. 

Mostro-vos então como fica nos lábios. Um tom rosado lindo e com um ligeiro brilho. A sensação de hidratação perdura por imenso tempo, assim como a cor. 

I then show you how it looks on the lips. A beautiful pink, with a slight glow. The hydration feeling lasts for a long time, as well as the color. 

Pode ser aplicado com um pincel ou mesmo com o dedo. Eu aplico directamente com o dedo, assim o produto aquece um pouco e a sua pigmentação fica mais forte. 

It can be applied with a brush or even with the finger. I apply it directly with the finger, so the product warms up a bit and the pigmentation is stronger. 

E depois de algumas horas a utilizar o Pout Polish é assim que fica nos lábios. Um tom rosa lindo e um pouco de brilho. A hidratação, essa permanece por horas. Estou a amar este produto! É muito prático de utilizar no dia a dia. 

And after a few hours using the Pout Polish, this is how it looks on the lips. A gorgeous pink tone and a little bit of shine. The hydration remains for hours. I'm loving this product! It’s very practical to use on a day to day basis.
