Oscars 2015: makeup looks by Joana Pedro

Estamos a chegar ao final de mais uma semana, mas está cheia de novidades!

We are getting close to the end of another week, but this one is full of news! 

Esta semana começou em grande com a tão esperada cerimónia dos Óscares, onde os amantes de cinema se reúnem para eleger os melhores filmes do ano e claro que eu e a Ana estivemos coladas ao ecrã, para vos vir contar tudo! 

This week had a great start with the long awaited ceremony of the Oscars, where the movie lovers gather to elect the best films of the year and of course Ana and I were glued to the screen, to come and tell you everything! 

É uma cerimónia bastante importante e é transmitida em directo. O glamour e a beleza desfilam na passadeira vermelha e é disso que vamos falar hoje. Vamos ver alguma da maquilhagem que desfilou nos Óscares! 

It’s a very important ceremony and is broadcast live. The glamour and the beauty are present on the red carpet and that's exactly what we'll talk about today. Let's see some of the makeup looks that were shown on the Oscars red carpet! 

Começamos com a bela Emma Stone! Emma tem um tom de pele bastante claro e um cabelo de uma tonalidade ruiva linda! Por vezes torna-se complicado harmonizar ambos os factores com a maquilhagem, mas esta mulher conseguiu e muito bem feito! Com uma óptima preparação de pele, apostou num blush cor de pêssego, discreto mas que dá o toque especial ao rosto. Nos olhos uma sombra champanhe com acabamento shimmer e um delineado simples em preto. Simplicidade no olhar, mas muita luminosidade! O pop de cor foi para os lábios, utilizando um batom coral que lhe assentou na perfeição. 

We begin with the beautiful Emma Stone! Emma has a very light skin tone and hair with a beautiful red shade! Sometimes it becomes difficult to harmonize both factors with makeup, but this woman did it and it was very well done! With a great skin preparation, she bet on a peach blush, discreet but giving a special touch to the face. On the eyes, a champagne eyeshadow with a shimmer finish and a simple eyeliner in black. Simplicity in the eyes but a very bright look! The pop of color was on the lips, using a coral lipstick that suited her perfectly. 

A já conhecida Gwyneth Paltrow! Apostou numa boa preparação de pele, com um leve toque de blush e iluminador no rosto. Nos olhos uns smokey eyes em tons muito neutros e o foco do olhar está no eyeliner, numa espessura mais grossa do que o habitual e em preto. Nos lábios, um batom nude com um subtom rosado. 

The already known Gwyneth Paltrow! She bet on a good skin preparation with a light touch of blush and illuminator on the face. On the eyes, smokey eyes in very neutral colors and the focus of the look is on the eyeliner, thicker than usual and in black. On the lips, a nude lipstick with a pink undertone. 

A arrasadora Jenna Dewan Tatum! Finalmente alguém que decidiu dar um pouco de cor a estes Óscares! Jenna estava com uma pele muito bem preparada em todos os aspectos. Nos olhos, utilizou uns smokey eyes em tons terra e champanhe, finalizando com um fino delineado em preto e umas longas pestanas. Nos lábios apostou num batom coral vibrante com um subtom vermelho. Gostei bastante do batom, deu vida a todo o look! 

The overwhelming Jenna Dewan Tatum! Finally someone decided to bring some color to the Oscars! Jenna had a very well prepared skin in all aspects. On the eyes, she had smokey eyes in earth tones and champagne, a thin eyeliner in black and long eyelashes. On the lips, she bet on a vibrant coral lipstick with a red undertone. I liked the lipstick, it gave life to the whole look! 

Meninas, levantem-se e dêem uma ovação de pé à Lady Gaga! Depois de tanta extravagância lá decidiu ser normal e ter alguma classe. Apareceu na passadeira vermelha com uma pele de porcelana, perfeita! Com uns olhos em tons neutros marcando o côncavo, um eyeliner simples em preto e umas longas pestanas. Nos lábios utilizou um batom vermelho bem vivo. A típica regra de maquilhagem: olhos nada, boca tudo. Parabéns Lady Gaga! Foi uma excelente aposta! 

Girls, stand up and give a standing ovation to Lady Gaga! After all the extravagance, she decided to be normal and have some class. She appeared on the red carpet with a porcelain like skin, perfect! With eyes in neutral tones marking the concave, a simple black eyeliner and long eyelashes. On the lips, she used a bright red lipstick. The typical makeup rule: nothing on the eyes, everything on the mouth. Congratulations Lady Gaga! It was a great bet! 

A Lupita que nunca desilude! Lupita Nyong’o sabe mesmo como tirar partido da sua pele negra. Apostou numa fantástica preparação de pele em tudo! O blush perfeito e iluminador suficiente. Nos olhos cores cintilantes ao estilo esfumado, utilizando sombras prata e cinza chumbo, iluminando assim o olhar. Nos lábios um vermelho escuro, com efeito perolado. Gostei!

Lupita who never disappoints! Lupita Nyong'o surely knows how to take advantage of her dark skin. She bet on a fantastic skin preparation! The perfect blush and just the right amount of illuminator. On the eyes, sparkling colors in a smoky style, using silver and dark grey eyeshadows, thereby illuminating the whole look. On the lips, a deep red with pearly effect. I really liked it! 

Reese Witherspoon em modo “cansei de ser gira”! Passou de legalmente loira a legalmente desmaquilhada. O que passou na cabeça da Reese só ela saberá. A pele está imaculada, é verdade! Mas para onde foi o contorno? Onde anda o blush? Iluminador, alguém o viu? Nos olhos tons super neutros e pouco notáveis, salvaram-se as pestanas que tinham um bom rímel. Na boca um batom nude puro, que não a fez sobressair em nada. Um evento de tamanha importância e ela decidiu ir praticamente sem maquilhagem. Este seria o típico visual de ir à piscina ou passear nas férias, não para uma gala destas! Reese, volta a ser gira, pode ser? 

Reese Witherspoon "tired of being fabulous"! She went from legally blonde to legally without makeup. What happened to Reese only she will know. The skin was immaculated, it's true! But where was the bronzer? Where was the blush? Illuminator, has someone seen it? On the eyes, super neutral tones that we could barely see and the eyelashes were saved by a good mascara. On the mouth, a pure nude lipstick than didn't do anything for her. An event of such importance and she decided to go with almost no makeup. This would be the typical visual to go to the pool or stroll on vacation, not for a gala like this! Reese, can you be fabulous again, please? 

Jennifer Lopez, a bomba latina! Também a podíamos chamar a Deusa de Ouro, uma vez que a cor bronze foi a sua grande escolha. Ai Jennifer, por que é que tens de ser tão fabulosa? Apostou numa excelente preparação de pele, tirando partido do seu belo tom bronzeado. Nos olhos a tendência de apenas uma cor em toda a pálpebra, apostando num bronze cintilante, o que deu um brilho ao olhar. Um discreto eyeliner em preto e umas pestanas poderosas! Nos lábios um batom rosa claro, muito feminino e que veio dar o ar da sua graça a todo o look. Jennifer parabéns! Muito bem escolhido! 

Jennifer Lopez, the latin bomb! We could also call her the Golden Goddess, since bronze was her great choice. Oh Jennifer, why you gotta be so fabulous? She bet on an excelent skin preparation, taking advantage of her beautiful tanned skin tone. On the eyes, the trend to use only one color across all the eyelid, betting on a shimmering bronze eyeshadow, which gave shine to her look. A discreet black eyeliner and powerful eyelashes! On the lips, a light pink lipstick, very feminine, which gave an air of grace to the whole look. Congratulations Jennifer! Very well chosen! 

E estes foram alguns dos looks que desfilaram na passadeira vermelha dos Óscares! Foi uma noite repleta de estrelas, muita elegância e muito glamour.
