O tema de hoje, e sendo o terceiro dia de Agosto, tem TUDO a ver com o Verão.

Será que sabemos lavar e secar correctamente os nossos biquinis? E quando refiro biquinis falo de fatos-de-banho em geral, de homem e de mulher. Eu sempre tive muito cuidado na lavagem dos meus biquinis depois de um dia de praia ou piscina, mas mesmo assim nem sempre eles duram mais de um ano. Por serem peças tão sensíveis, hoje venho dar-vos alguns conselhos. Os cuidados começam na hora da compra e acabam em casa.

Do we know how to wash and dry our bikinis properly? And when I mention bikinis I'm talking about bathing suits in general, for men and women. I've always had extra care when washing my bikinis after a day in the beach or in the pool, but even so they don't always last more than a year. By being sensitve pieces, today I give you some advices. The care begins at the time of buying and finish at home.

• Ao escolher um biquini, optem por um com grande quantidade de elastano, que o mantém conservado durante mais tempo.
• Ao sol, tenham cuidado ao espalhar o protector solar para não manchar os tecidos do biquini.
• Na hora de lavar os biquinis, NUNCA usar máquina e lavá-los sempre à mão. A máquina estraga o tecido. A lavagem deve ser feita com um sabão neutro (para peças delicadas) e água fria. NUNCA lavar com água quente!
• Depois da lavagem não deixem as peças de molho, não as torçam nem passem a ferro. Tudo isso estraga o tecido.
• Coloquem as peças a secar à sombra (para a cor não desbotar), num local arejado, afastado de peças que possam fazer manchas e NUNCA secar na máquina.
• Nunca guardem as peças ainda molhadas e especial atenção ao local onde são guardadas (podem entrar em contacto com fechos ou aplicações de outras peças).
• When choosing a bikini, go for the one with a big quantity of elastane, that keep it preserved for more time.
• At the sun, be careful when spreading the sunscreen in order not to stain the fabric from the bikinis.
• When it's time to wash the bikinis, NEVER use the machine and always wash them by hand. The machine ruins the fabric. The wash must be done with a neutral soap (to delicate pieces) and fresh water. NEVER wash them with hot water!
• After the wash don't leave the pieces soaking, don't twist them and don't iron them. All that ruins the fabric.
• Put the pieces drying in the shade (that way the color won't fade), in a fresh area, away from pieces that may cause stains and NEVER dry them in the machine.
• Never keep them still wet and have special attention to the place where they are kept (they may enter in contact with zippers or other pieces' applications).

Dica importante: Evitar o contacto do tecido com áreas ásperas (cuidado ao sentar nas bermas das piscinas e com a areia).

Important tip: Avoid the contact of the fabric with rough areas (watch out when seating at the side of the pool and with the sand).
