Strawberry Body Sorbet by The Body Shop

Uma pequena pausa nos posts de Vilamoura para vos falar de uma novidade da The Body Shop, os novos Body Sorbet. Na minha última visita à The Body Shop, esta linha chamou-me à atenção principalmente pelo nome. As fragrâncias não fogem muito à regra, pois em todas as linhas da loja os cheiros são os mesmos, e como tal fui para o de morango (não fosse eu uma louca por morango, tanto pela fruta como pelos cremes com o seu cheiro).

A little break on the posts about Vilamoura so I can tell you about a new product from The Body Shop, the new Body Sorbet. On my last trip to The Body Shop, this line caught my eye specially for its name. The fragrances are not different from the usual, because in all their lines the scents are the same, and so I went for the strawberry (if I wasn't a sucker for strawberry, for the fruit and for all the creams with its smell).

Primeiro facto: colocar um Body Sorbet no corpo é mesmo igual a espalhar granizado na pele. É fresco, suave e cheira divinamente a morango! Depois de um dia de calor e de um bom banho, espalhar um produto tão fresco na pele sabe realmente bem. 
First fact: spreading a Body Sorbet on your body is just like spreading slush all over your skin. It's fresh, soft and it smells so good! After a day of heat and a good shower, spreading a product so fresh on your skin feels really good.

Segundo facto: os Body Sorbet prometem rápida absorção (check!), facilidade ao espalhar (check!), pele imediatamente macia e hidratação durante 24 horas. Em relação a estes dois últimos pontos não sei se concordo a 100%, visto que a meio do dia seguinte já sinto necessidade de aplicar um creme hidratante novamente e quando o aplico não sinto a minha pele imediatamante hidratada, como acontece com outros cremes (como com a linha Cocoa Butter da AVON, por exemplo). 
Second fact: the Body Sorbets promise fast absorption (check!), easiness while spreading (check!), skin immediately moisturized and hydration for 24h. Concerning these two last points I'm not sure I agree 100%, because in the middle of the next day I already feel the need to apply a moisturizer and when I apply it I don't feel my skin immediately hydrated, like it happens with other creams (like the Cocoa Butter range by AVON, for example).

Último ponto desfavorável é também o facto de o ter aplicado nas noites antes de ir para a praia ou para a piscina durante as férias e ser impossível espalhar o protector solar sem o produto se esfarelar todo na pele. Fiz o teste com outros cremes hidratantes e tal não aconteceu, apenas com o Body Sorbet. A próxima vez que o usar irei metê-lo no frigorífico algumas horas antes, para ver como reage na minha pele se estiver realmente fresco.
Last thing against it must be the fact that after I applied it the night before going to the beach or to the pool it was impossible to spread sunscreen without the product crumbling on my skin. I made the test with other products and such thing didn't happen, only with the Body Sorbet. Next time I'll try putting it on the fridge a couple of hours before, to see how it reacts on my skin if it's really fresh.
