Movie time!

Hi everyone!

Sabem aquelas noites em que não apetece fazer nada sem ser fazer um grande balde de pipocas e ver um grande filme às escuras? Foi isso que eu fiz ontem e soube-me tão bem aquele bocadinho! Escolhi ver o filme Gravidade e tive uma autêntica surpresa! Apesar de tantas opiniões diferentes, há quem ache o filme espectacular e há quem ache o filme enfadonho pois passa-se todo no mesmo lugar, eu achei que o filme está lindo! Sandra Bullock é sem dúvida uma grande actriz, consegue dar drama e prender-nos ao ecrã durante todo o filme sozinha e sem fazer grande esforço. Apesar do filme se passar todo no mesmo lugar, mais uma vez todas as peripécias e a forma como ela reage dão-nos vontade de roer as unhas com medo de tudo o que lhe possa acontecer. Eu adorei o filme!

Do you know those nights when we don't want to do anything besides making a huge popcorn bucket and watch a movie in the dark? That's exactly what I did yesterday and that moment felt so good! I chose to see the movie Gravity and I had a wonderful surprise! Despite so many different opinions, some think the movie is amazing and others think the movie is boring because it happens all in the same place, I thought the movie is beautiful! Sandra Bullock is without a doubt a great actress, she can provide the drama and hold us to the screen during the entire movie all by herself without doing much of an effort. Despite being in the same place all the time, once again everything that happens to her and the way she reacts are so nerve racking that we get scared with everything that can happen to her. I loved it!

A Dra. Ryan Stone é uma brilhante engenheira médica que está na sua primeira missão espacial, com o astronauta veterano Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). Numa caminhada espacial de rotina a nave é destruída e Stone e Kowalsky ficam completamente sozinhos no meio do espaço, estando apenas amarrados um ao outro e a cair pela escuridão. O silêncio do espaço diz-lhes que perderam qualquer contacto com a Terra, logo não há forma de salvamento. Com medo e pânico, terão de controlar a respiração para o oxigénio não se esgotar rapidamente, e o único caminho é irem mais longe na imensidão assustadora do espaço.

Dra. Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical engineer that is on her first spacial mission, with the veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). In a routine spacial walk their ship is destroyed and Stone and Kowalsky stay completely alone in the middle of space, being tied together and falling through darkness. Space's silence tells them they lost any contact with Earth and there is no way of rescuing. With fear and panic, they will have to control their breathing so the oxygen doesn't run out quickly, and the only way is to go further in the scary immensity of space.

Se ainda não viram o filme porque já ouviram falar mal dele, aconselho a verem por vocês mesmos e tirarem a vossa própria opinião. Por alguma razão o filme teve tantos óscares, e agora já consigo entender porquê.

If you haven't seen the movie because you've heard people talk bad about it, I advise you to go watch it and to make your own opinion. For some reason the movie had so many Oscars, and now I can understand why.
