Portugal Fashion makeup trends by Joana Pedro

Já estamos de volta a mais uma semana, mas parece que a Primavera foi mesmo de férias. 

We're back for another week, but it seems that Spring is really on vacation.

E nesta semana que passou decorreu entre o dia 26 e o dia 29 o Portugal Fashion. Mais um evento de moda que dita as tendências para o Outono/Inverno 2014-2015 (aqui). Este teve lugar nas duas principais cidades de Portugal, em Lisboa e no Porto.

And this past week the Portugal Fashion occurred between the 26 and the 29. Another fashion event that dictates the trends for Fall/Winter 2014-2015 (here). It took place at the two main cities of Portugal, Lisbon and Porto. 

Mostro-vos agora as tendências de maquilhagem que desfilaram nas passerelas de Portugal, e que marcarão as próximas estações do frio, através das fotografias de Paulo Costa. 

I now show you the makeup trends that were seen on the Portugal runways, and that will mark the upcoming cold seasons, through the photographs of Paulo Costa. 

Começamos então por uma vertente mais limpa, pois as próximas estações do frio e da chuva serão marcadas também por um visual completamente clean. Com maquilhagem que praticamente não é visível, apostando assim numa boa preparação da pele.  

We start with a cleaner version, because the next cold and rain seasons will also be marked by a completely clean look. With barely visible makeup, investing on a good skin preparation. 

Uma tendência que tem marcado várias estações ao longo do ano é o típico eyeliner. Um rosto limpo, mas sempre bem contornado e iluminado, com uma boca despida de cor e uns olhos bem marcados, delineados com cores escuras, praticamente sempre em preto. 

A trend that has marked several seasons throughout the year is the typical eyeliner. A clean but always well highlighted and contoured face, with a naked mouth and marked eyes, outlined with dark colors, almost always in black. 

Como já é hábito em todos os desfiles existe sempre uma vertente mais extravagante. E o Portugal Fashion não foi excepção. Um rosto completamente limpo, única e simplesmente com um apontamento de cor. Em tons de vermelho, surgem como que uma espécie de marcação no rosto das modelos. Será uma nova tendência para as próximas estações? Tinha a sua piada! 

As usual in all the shows, there is always an extravagant side. And the Portugal Fashion was no exception. A completely clean face, simply with a note of color. In shades of red, which appear marking the faces of the models. Will it be a new trend for the upcoming seasons? It could be fun!

Para as próximas estações é também apresentado um lado mais sóbrio. Um rosto limpo, mas sempre bem cuidado, com uma boca simples em tons neutros e tons terra nos olhos. Quase sempre em tons castanhos e utilizando a técnica smoky eyes.

For the next seasons there is also a more sober side. A clean face, but always well cared, with a simple mouth in neutral tones and earth tones on the eyes. Almost always in brown and using the smoky eyes technique. 

Se sempre estivemos habituadas a ouvir a típica regra de maquilhagem “olhos tudo, boca nada," nas próximas estações deixará de fazer sentido. No próximo Outono/Inverno podem apostar em tudo, quer na boca, quer nos olhos.

If we have been accustomed to hear the typical makeup rule "everything on the eyes, nothing on the mouth," in the upcoming seasons it will no longer make sense. In the next Fall/Winter you can bet on everything, either in the mouth or in the eyes. 

Mas como as estações no frio e da chuva são também a época das festividades, há que deixar transparecer isso na maquilhagem. Como tal, para dar uma ideia de festa e glamour podemos também apostar em tons metálicos. Esta tendência traz-nos um único tom, desde a pálpebra até à sobrancelha, evidenciando bem as pestanas. Vem também acompanhado de um rosto limpo (mas sempre contornado e iluminado) e uma boca nude. 

But because the cold and rain seasons are also the season of festivities, that must be shown in the makeup as well. As such, to give an idea of festivity and glamour we can also bet on metallic tones. This trend brings us one color from the eyelid to the eyebrow and showing big eyelashes. It's also accompanied by a clean face (but always contoured and highlighted) and a nude mouth. 

Como o Outono/Inverno são estações frias e de cores escuras e cinzentas, há que dar um pouco de alegria ao nosso rosto. Para isso, chega-nos a nova tendência de olhos coloridos. Quase sempre em cores vivas, sendo os olhos o único apontamento de cor presente no rosto. 

Because Fall and Winter are cold seasons with dark and gray colors, we must give a little joy to our face. For that it arrives the new trend of colored eyes. Almost always in vivid colors, the eyes being the only note of color present in the face.

Uma das minhas tendências preferidas, os smoky eyes! Acho que fica sempre bem, pois são geralmente em tons neutros (neste caso em cinza chumbo e preto) e fica bem em qualquer mulher e visual. Num rosto limpo, com os contornos definidos, pontos de luz para iluminar o rosto e os maçãs do rosto marcadas com blush. Os olhos bem marcados com a técnica de esfumar. Podem também apostar numa boca nude, ou em tons mais sóbrios, como rosas pálidos ou corais. 

One of my favorite trends, the smoky eyes! I think it always looks good, because they are usually in neutral colors (in this case in dark gray and black) and they look great on any woman and with any visual. On a clean face, with contours, spot lights to illuminate the face and cheekbones marked with blush. The eyes well marked with the blending technique. You can also invest on a nude mouth or in more sober tones, like pale pink or coral.

E posso dizer que tenho orgulho nestas duas fotos. É sempre bom quando vemos amigas a vingar no mundo da moda e ficamos sempre orgulhosas quando as vemos desfilar ou em fotos. Estas são a Diana Neto e a Andreia Silva, modelos que participaram no Portugal Fashion e que desfilaram com um dos looks mais clássicos da maquilhagem. Nos olhos cores muito discretas e neutras. No rosto, maquilhagem simples, evidenciando os traços naturais e a beleza natural da mulher. E o pop de cor está na boca, um vermelho vivo. Esta é uma das mais eternas tendências no mundo da maquilhagem.

And I can say that I'm proud of these two photos. It's always good when we see friends in the fashion world and we're always proud when we see them on the runways or in photos. They are Diana Neto and Andreia Silva, models who participated in the Portugal Fashion and appeared with one of the most classic looks in the makeup world. In the eyes very discreet and neutral colors. In the face simple makeup, showing the natural features and natural beauty of women. And the pop of color is on the mouth, a bright red. This is one of the eternal trends in the makeup world.

Uma tendência que apareceu este ano, mas que parece que veio para ficar. Os burgundy lips! Um rosto bem tratado com uns olhos neutros, mas na boca podemos apostar em tudo o que seja cores escuras. Desde o vermelho escuro, ao vermelho vinho, ameixa ou até mesmo castanho. A tendência burgundy é perfeita para os dias frios e pode completar perfeitamente um look mais simples.

A trend that has appeared this year, but that seems to be here to stay. Burgundy lips! A treated face with neutral eyes, but on the mouth we can bet on any dark color we want. From dark red to wine, plum or even brown. The burgundy trend is perfect for cold days and can perfectly complement a simpler look.
