Estamos
de volta a mais uma semana, mas desta vez parece que a Primavera voltou.
We're
back to another week, but this time it seems that Spring is back.
A semana passada falámos de pinceis e em várias
técnicas para limpeza de pinceis, hoje falaremos de limpeza de esponjas de
maquilhagem.
Last week we talked about brushes and
the various techniques to clean brushes, today we’ll talk about cleaning makeup
sponges.
A maioria
de nós mulheres utiliza esponjas ou beauty blenders para espalhar a
maquilhagem, a base ou o corrector, pois ssim conseguimos um acabamento de pele mais
perfeito. Mas tal como os pinceis, as esponjas também se sujam e muito
rapidamente! Rapidamente também criam bactérias no seu interior e nós não
podemos andar aí a comprar esponjas todos os dias, pois são um utensílio um
pouco dispendioso.
Most of us women use sponges or beauty
blenders to spread the makeup, the foundation or the concealer, because with them we can achieve
a more perfect finish on the skin. But like the brushes, sponges get dirty
and very quickly too! They also create bacteria inside them very quickly and we can’t buy sponges every day, they are little expensive tools.
Para que as
nossas esponjas durem mais tempo devemos cuidar delas e isso passa por
limpá-las regularmente (pelo menos três vezes por semana), pois estas geram
muito facilmente bactérias e quando estas entram em contacto com a pele
aparece o indesejado acne ou pode até mesmo gerar outras infecções, como eczema,
entre outras coisas indesejadas para a nossa pele.
To our sponges last longer we need to take care of them and that goes for cleaning them regularly (at least three times a
week), because they easily generate bacteria and when they get in contact
with the skin the undesirable acne appears or it even leads to other
infections such as eczema, among other unwanted things for our skin.
O
primeiro passo é então livrarmo-nos completamente das bactérias que se formam nas
nossas esponjas. Para isso, podemos fazer uma espécie de esterilização. Basta
enchermos uma taça com água (mais ou menos até meio), depois mergulhamos as
esponjas nessa mesma água e levamos ao micro-ondas por uns segundos (no caso de
estarem muito sujas podem até mesmo deixar durante um minuto). Com o
aquecimento da água, as bactérias serão mortas, assim ficaremos com as nossas
esponjas desinfetadas.
The first step is to completely get rid of bacteria
that grows on our sponges. For that, we can sterilize them. You simply
fill a bowl with water (half is enough), then dive the sponges in the same water
and take it to the microwave for a few seconds (if they are really dirty you may even
leave it for one minute). With the hot water, the bacteria will be killed, so we’ll have disinfected sponges.
O passo seguinte é retirarmos cuidadosamente (para
não nos queimarmos) a taça com as esponjas do micro-ondas. Em seguida
lavá-las com um sabonete antibacteriano, assim temos a certeza que nenhum tipo
de bactéria sobrevive. Ao lavar a esponja, devemos ir esfregando esta na mão,
para que a sujidade saia completamente e ir passando por água corrente. Devemos
repetir o processo várias vezes, até acharmos que a esponja está mesmo limpa.
The next step is to carefully (we don't want to burn ourselves) remove the bowl with the sponges from the microwave. Then wash them
with an antibacterial soap, so we are sure that no bacteria survives. When
washing the sponge you should rub it on your hand, so the dirt comes out completely, and put it under running water. We repeat the process several
times, until we see that the sponge is really clean.
Depois é
só retirar o excesso de água com uma toalha (espremendo cuidadosamente a
esponja) e deixar a nossa esponja secar naturalmente.
Then just remove the excess of water with a
towel (gently squeezing the sponge) and let your sponge naturally dry.
