Rome in blue: day II

Buongiorno!

Gostaram das fotos do meu primeiro dia em Roma aqui? Hoje venho mostrar-vos as fotos do segundo dia. Como referi no primeiro post é impossível mostrar-vos todas as fotografias e tenho de fazer uma grande selecção para mostrar apenas as mais importantes e dos monumentos mais importantes por onde passámos. De um monumento para o outro há sempre algo fascinante para fotografar e para recordar mais tarde.

Did you enjoy the pictures from my first day in Rome here? Today I come to show you the pictures from the second day. As I mentioned before it's impossible to show you all the pictures and I really have to select them to show you the most important ones and the most important monuments we went. From one to another there is always something fascinating to shoot and to remember later.

Arco di Constantino

No segundo dia deixei as botas de cano alto e troquei-as pelas botas super confortáveis da Timberland que nunca me deixaram mal em Paris e visto que em Roma andámos mil vezes mais iam ser perfeitas para não me doer os pés. Neste dia às 8h da manhã já estávamos na entrada do Coliseu e como estava fresquinho coloquei um lenço branco por cima. Quando o sol abriu, o tempo ficou maravilhoso e o lenço já não foi necessário, podendo assim mostrar o colar que levava nesse dia e a camisola que comprei na Primark antes de ir de viagem. O trench-coat neste dia fez-me companhia mais uma vez, tal como a mochila claro. Os óculos de sol também foram imprescendíveis mas mesmo com maquilhagem e protector solar fiquei um pouco vermelha na cara, já para não falar do pequeno grande escaldão que apanhei no pescoço e a grande marca da camisola com que fiquei. Mas tudo isso valeu a pena!  
On the second day I switched my high boots for my super comfy Timberland boots. They never left me bad in Paris and because we walked a thousand times more in Rome they would be perfect so my feet wouldn't hurt. On this day at 8am we were already at the entry of the Colosseum and it was a bit chilly so I put a white scarf on top. When the sun came out, the weather was wonderful and the scarf was no longer needed, being able to show the necklace I had on that day and the blouse I bought on Primark before traveling. The trench-coat went with me on that day too, and so did the backpack. The sunglasses were indispensable but even with makeup and sunscreen I got sunburned on my face, not mentioning also the little big sunburn that I got on my neck and the big mark of the blouse. But it was all worth it!

Colosseo

O Coliseu foi sem dúvida o ponto alto deste dia. Mal se sai do metro o coliseu está mesmo à frente e é de deixar qualquer um de queixo caído. É muito maior do que eu pensava, é lindo e imponente e parece que estamos literalmente no meio de um filme romano. As fotografias não chegam definitivamente para demonstrar a sua grandiosidade!
The Colosseum was definitely the high point of the day. As soon as you get out of the subway the Colosseum is right in front of you and it leaves anyone with their chin down. It's so much bigger than I thought, it's beautiful and powerful and it literally looks that we're in the middle of a roman movie. The pictures are definitely not enough to demonstrate its majesty!

Uma ilha no meio da cidade? Um pequeno paraíso longe do caos e do movimento da cidade de Roma em que finalmente conseguimos ver o rio.
An island in the middle of the city? A little paradise away from the chaos and the movement of the city of Rome in which we finally got to see the river. 

Monumento Vittorio Emanuele II

Neste momento fui eu a turista com a máquina ao pescoço pois o meu amor estava a fotografar-me com a outra máquina. Andávamos sempre prevenidos com duas máquinas, um tablet e ainda os telemóveis com a bateria no máximo.
Here I got to be the tourist for a little bit with the machine because my baby was taking the picture with another machine. We were always with two machines, a tablet and also the mobile phones with the battery full.
