Rome and a trench-coat: day I

Buongiorno!

Espero que tenham tido uma boa Páscoa e que estejam bem. Para quem me segue assiduamente sabe que estive 5 dias em Roma na semana passada. Hoje finalmente vou começar a mostrar-vos como foi a minha viagem. Fomos para Roma no Domingo bem cedinho, às 6h50 partia o avião, e voltámos quinta-feira, apanhámos o avião às 6h15. 

I hope you had a lovely Easter and that you are fine. To the ones who follow me every day you know I was in Rome for 5 days last week. Today I'm finally starting to show you how was my trip. We went to Rome on Sunday really early in the morning, at 6:50am we were on the plain, and we returned on Thursday, we got in the plain at 6:15am.

Ficámos no Hotel Stromboli que nos acolheu muito bem e tinha tudo o que precisávamos. O único grande problema era a internet ter de ser paga e só dar apenas para um dispositivo, por isso sempre que conseguiamos almoçávamos num local com wifi de forma a podermos aceder à internet à vontade. 

We stayed at the Hotel Stromboli that welcomed us really well and had everything we needed. The only big problem was that the Internet had to be payed and it could only be used in one device, so we would try all the time to have lunch in a place with wifi so we could have easy access to it.

Roma é lindíssima sem dúvida nenhuma! Em todos os cantos há uma estátua, uma coluna, um monumento, uma igreja maravilhosa. 5 dias foram mais do que suficiente para ver tudo, vimos por dia mais de 10 monumentos e vimos tudo com bastante calma. No fim da viagem tinhamos quase 2000 fotografias pois tudo tinha de ser registado. Claro que apenas vos vou mostrar as principais fotos dos sítios onde fomos pois seria impossível mostrar tudo.

Rome is beautiful without a doubt! In every corner there is a statue, a column, a monument, a wonderful church. 5 days were more than enough to see everything, we saw per day an average of more than 10 monuments and we saw everything really slowly. At the end of the trip we had more than 1000 pictures because everything had to be registered. Of course I'm only going to show you the main pictures from the places where we went because it would be impossible to show you everything.

Para a quantidade de quilómetros que fizemos a pé não havia muitas opções para calçado. Tinha de ser confortável antes de tudo, pois em Roma o metro não abrange muitas zonas e a maior parte era tudo feito a pé. Ao fim do dia quase não sentiamos os pés mas valia a pena! No primeiro dia como vinhamos de viagem resolvi levar calçadas as botas mais altas para não ocuparem espaço na mala. As botas são muito confortáveis e como nesse dia o tempo estava bom decidi usar um vestidinho azul, que vocês já me viram a usar aqui, mas usado num look mais quente com collants e uma camisa de ganga por cima e ainda o meu must-have do momento, o trench coat. Um look com várias camadas, quente o suficiente mas não muito frio para um dia cheio de coisas lindas para ver.

To the amount of kilometers we did walking there were not many options for shoes. They had to be comfortable above everything else, because in Rome the subway doesn't go to several areas of the city and most of the city is done by foot. At the end of the day we could barely feel our feet but it was worth it! On the first day was the day of the flight so I decided to brought my higher boots so they wouldn't occupy a lot of space on the suitcase. These boots are super comfortable and because at that day the weather was great I decided to use a little blue dress, that you already saw here, but in a more winter look with tighs and a denim blouse on top of it and my must-have of the moment, a trench coat. A layered look, warm enough but not very cold for a day full of beautiful things to see.

A minha melhor companhia quando vou de viagem? A minha mochila da Parfois! Confortável, prática e linda. Comprei-a o ano passado antes de ir a Paris e para Roma tinha de a levar também. Além de ser isso tudo fica bem com qualquer roupa que eu use pois tem um ar elegante ao mesmo tempo. Em fotos futuras irão conseguir ver a mochila melhor.

My best company when I travel? My Parfois backpack! Comfortable, practical and beautiful. I bought it last year before going to Paris and I had to take it to Rome. Besides all that it looks good with everything I wear because it has an elegant side too. In future pictures you'll be able to see the backpack better.

Como podem ver pelas fotos Roma é uma cidade muito movimentada, as ruas estão sempre cheias e havia quase sempre fila para entrar nos monumentos. O único lugar que pagámos neste dia foi o Palazzo Altemps. Este dia foi passado mais na rua pois vimos locais mais de passagem, como tal uns óculos de sol foram indispensáveis pois o dia estava lindo e o sol brilhava imenso. Assim até deu gosto andar a passear por Roma.

As you can see Rome is a very crowded city, the streets are always full and there was almost always a line to go inside the monuments. The only place we had to pay for in this day was the Palazzo Altemps. This day was spent more on the street because we saw places that didn't need to enter, and because of that sunglasses were indispensable for me because the day was beautiful and the sun was shinning a lot. It felt so good to walk around Rome with that weather.
