How to use dry shampoos?

Hoje trago-vos um tema que tem ganho algum destaque ultimamente. Os champôs secos têm sido cada vez mais procurados, principalmente por pessoas com cabelo oleoso e com excesso de sebo produzido pelo couro cabeludo. Apesar disso, acredito que haja ainda muita gente que tem dúvidas de como os aplicar, quando e que marcas são as melhores. Então é isso mesmo que vos venho explicar hoje, espero que vos seja útil!

Today I bring you a theme that has been gaining some spotlight recently. Dry shampoos have been each time more sought, mainly by people with oily hair and with excess of tallow produced by the scalp. Despite that, I believe that there are still a lot of people with doubts on how to apply them, when and which brands are the best. So that's what I want to explain you today, I hope it will be useful to you!

O  que é?/ What is it?

O champô seco existe sob a forma de spray ou pó e tem como principal objectivo absorver o excesso de sebo que o couro cabeludo produz. Consegue retirar o aspecto oleoso do cabelo em poucos minutos e cria a ilusão de que o cabelo acabou de ser lavado. Este tipo de champôs além de retirar o brilho indesejado, nutre o cabelo.

Dry shampoo exists as spray or as powder and has the main objective of absorbing the excess of tallow that the scalp produces. It can remove the oily look of the hair in a few minutes and it creates the illusion that the hair was washed just now. This kind of shampoos besides removing the unwanted shine, nourishes the hair.

Quando aplicar?/ When to apply?

Os champôs secos devem ser aplicados com o cabelo seco e quando o cabelo começa a ter aquele ar sujo e oleoso. O ideal é lavar o cabelo com champô normal (que nunca deve ser substituído) de 3 em e dias e aplicar o champô seco no intervalo desses dias. Se forem utilizados logo depois de lavar o cabelo os óleos que se libertam são logo retirados pelo champô seco e o cabelo demora mais tempo a ficar sujo.

 Dry shampoos must be applied with the hair dry and when the hair starts having that dirty and oily look. The ideal is wash the hair with normal shampoo (that should never be substituted) 3 in 3 days and apply the dry shampoo in the break of those days. If they are used after washing the hair, the oils that are released will be immediately removed by the dry shampoo and the hair will take longer to get dirty. 

Como aplicar?/ How to apply?

Primeiro que tudo é necessário agitar bem o produto e pulverizar a 30 cm do cabelo, fio a fio. Deve ser utilizado nas áreas que parecem sujas (no topo, na zona do risco e na zona frontal e se o cabelo estiver apanhado aplicar também na nuca). Deve deixar-se actuar o produto durante dois minutos (e estimular e esbater o produto até estar completamente absorvido) e depois escovar cuidadosamente o cabelo, para eliminar qualquer resíduo do produto.

First of all it's necessary to shake the product and spray it 30 cm from the hair, hair by hair. Este tipo de champô é ideal tanto para mulheres com cabelo fino como para mulheres com o cabelo mais grosso, pois se deixarmos passar mais dias entre as lavagens, o cabelo irá ficar oleoso também e aí entra o champô seco. No caso de mulheres com franja, este é um aliado sem dúvida pois essa parte do cabelo está sempre em contacto com o óleo da pele. Depois de utilizar instrumentos de calor e esticar o cabelo, utilizar champô seco nas pontas ajuda a que o cabelo encaracole mais devagar. 

This kind of shampoo is ideal to women with thin hair and for women with thick hair, because if more days between washing pass, the hair will be all oily and then comes in the dry shampoo. In the case of women with bangs, this is without a doubt an ally because that part of the hair is always in contact with the oil produced by the skin. After using heat tools and after straighten the hair, using dry shampoo at the ends makes the hair curl so much slower.
