Espero que estejam a ter um bom início de semana. E hoje chegamos ao fim de mais um tema da nossa jornada de maquilhagem. O capítulo de hoje é sobre pestanas! 

I hope you are having a good start of the week. And today we come to the end of another theme of our makeup journey. Today's chapter is about eyelashes!

   

   Todas nós gostamos de ter umas pestanas bonitas e destacadas. Para isso elas devem ser volumosas, longas e curvadas. As pestanas são o foco principal do olhar e nunca é de mais cuidar delas! 
   We all like to have beautiful and highlighted eyelashes. In order that to happen they must be bulky, long and curved. Eyelashes are the main focus of the eyes and is never enough to take care of them!

Existem várias maneiras de termos umas pestanas bonitas. Vou explicar-vos algumas delas.

There are several ways of having beautiful eyelashes. I’ll explain some of them.
 

Uma das técnicas mais utilizadas é enrolar as pestanas com um enrolador de pestanas. Este utensilio ajuda-nos a “revirar” as pestanas, fazendo com que estas fiquem naturalmente reviradas para cima. É um passo que eu não dispenso, devemos fazê-lo antes de aplicar o rímel.

One of the most used techniques is curling the eyelashes with an eyelash curler. This utensil helps us to "wind" the lashes, looking like they are naturally turned.. It's a step that I don't pass, we must do this before applying mascara.

Uma outra maneira é aplicar rímel. Este deve ser aplicado depois de enrolarmos as pestanas. Mas podem também aplicar apenas o rímel sem enrolar as pestanas, mas assim obterão um efeito mais subtil. É claro que o rímel ajuda sempre, por isso não tenham medo de arriscar e apliquem várias camadas.

Another way is to apply mascara. It should be applied after we curl the eyelashes. But you can also apply mascara without curling the eyelashes, but that way you will get a more subtle effect. Of course, the mascara always helps, so don’t be afraid to take a chance and apply several layers.

Continuando com o rímel, este serve para nós mulheres adquirirmos pestanas maiores e mais chamativas. Porém, cada uma de nós tem o seu tipo de pestanas, umas são maiores,  outras menores e mais ou menos curvadas, e cada mulher precisa de saber qual o seu tipo de rímel.

Continuing with the mascara, it's good, for us women, to acquire larger and more flashy lashes. However, each one of us has its own type of eyelashes, some are larger, others are smaller or less curved, and each woman needs to know what type of mascara is the ideal.

 

Existe uma variadíssima oferta no mercado e nunca sabemos o que escolher e utilizar. Deixo-vos algumas dicas.

There are several mascaras in the market and we never know what to choose and to use. I leave you some tips.

Pestanas pequenas: As pestanas mais pequenas geralmente precisam de um rímel de alongamento. As mulheres com esse tipo de pestanas podem utilizar um rímel em que a escova tenha as cerdas alternadas, assim as pestanas ficam mais alongadas e mais bonitas. Um desses rimeis é o 30 Days Extension Daily Treatment Mascara da KIKO.

Small eyelashes: Shorter eyelashes usually need a lengthening mascara. Women with this kind of eyelashes can use a brush that has alternating bristles, thus the eyelashes are more elongated and more beautiful. One of these mascaras is the 30 Days Extension Daily Treatment Mask by KIKO.

Pestanas Grandes: Para este tipo de pestanas é preciso um rímel que dê mais volume, para isso devem utilizar um rímel com a escova de cerdas mais separadas, obterão mais volume e definição. Um dos rimeis ideais para isso é o The Colossal Volum' Express da Maybelline.
Long eyelashes: For this type of eyelashes you need a mascara that gives more volume, to that you must use a mascara with separated bristles, you will get more volume and definition. One of the ideal mascara for that is The Colossal Volum' Express by Maybelline.

    

Mas existem mais técnicas para o alongamento das pestanas. Uma das mais recentes é a extensão de pestanas. Este é um dos mais recentes métodos a nível das pestanas, mas é também dispendioso e além disso necessita de manutenção.
But there are more techniques to lengthen the eyelashes. One of the most recent ones is the length of eyelashes. This is one of the most recent methods concerning eyelashes, but it’s also expensive and requires maintenance.

Este novo método consiste em colar na própria pestana vários cílios de pestanas sintécticas, através de uma cola cirúrgica, para que o risco de reacção alérgica seja reduzido. O material das pestanas que são coladas é sintéctico, o que faz com que o resultado final possa ser mais natural e o toque se aproxime das pestanas das bonecas. 

This new method consists in gluing in the real eyelashes several synthetic eyelashes, with surgical glue, so that the risk of an allergic reaction is reduced. The material of the extension eyelashes is synthetic, which makes the final result more natural and looking like the dolls' eyelashes.

    

  

Confesso que pelo resultado este método é bastante tentador! Mas nestas coisas tenho sempre um pouco de receio, embora todas as pessoas que utilizam digam maravilhas e eu adoro o resultado.

I confess that the result of this method is quite tempting! But with these things I have always been a little afraid, but all the people who made it say wonders about it and I really love the result.

Mas para as que, como eu, não gostam de arriscar na extensão de pestanas, há um método semelhante. A aplicação de pestanas falsas!

But for those, like me, that don’t like to risk into the extension of lashes, there is a similar method. Applying false eyelashes!

  

Com este método tudo é mais fácil! Basta escolher o tipo de pestanas que mais gostamos e uma boa cola de pestanas. Depois é só aplicarmos bem junto à nossa linha de pestanas, esperar um pouco para que a cola seque e já estamos com uma pestanas lindas e grandes.

With this method everything is easier! Just choose the type of lashes that you like the most and a good eyelash glue. Then just apply them right next to your lash line, wait a while for the glue to dry and then you have large and beautiful eyelashes.

E há imensa escolha a nível de pestanas falsas! Desde as mais simples até às mais arrojadas e divertidas.

And there is plenty of choice in terms of false eyelashes! From the simplest to the most daring and fun.

Vou agora falar-vos de alguns produtos.

Now I’ll tell you about some products.

O primeiro produto é a cola de pestanas DUO. Esta é sem dúvida a minha cola para pestanas falsas preferida! Não precisamos de gastar muito para que as pestanas fiquem bem coladas e conseguimos mantê-las durante todo o dia. Podem encontrar a cola Duo em várias lojas online. 

The first product is the DUO eyelashes glue. This is definitely my favorite glue for false eyelashes! We don't need to spend a lot in order to the eyelashes be well bonded and we can keep them all day. You can find the Duo glue in several online stores.

  

O produto seguinte é de uma marca que ainda não é muito conhecida em Portugal e, de facto, este é o primeiro produto que tenho desta marca, mas confesso que estou a amar. Apresento-vos o rímel mais revolucionário, o Skinny Brush Mascara Long & Tall da Eyeko London. Este rímel além de vir numa embalagem super gira, é também bastante prático pois a sua embalagem tipo bisnaga faz com que se desperdice menos produto e assim conseguimos aproveitá-lo melhor. Aconselho-vos a experimentarem, é realmente muito bom!

The next product is from a brand that is not yet well known in Portugal and, in fact, this is the first product that I have of this brand, but I confess I'm loving it. I present to you the most revolutionary mascara, Skinny Brush Mascara Long & Tall by Eyeko London. This mascara comes in a super cute package and it’s also quite practical because its packaging is like a tube, which makes possible to save more product and we can get better use out of it. I advise you to try, it's really good!

O último produto é um dos meus fiéis amigos há já vários anos e este sei que nunca me deixa ficar mal. É o rímel Hypnôse Precious Cells da Lancôme. Este rímel tem uma escova com as cerdas pequenas e separadas, o que faz com que as pestanas ganhem mais volume e pareçam maiores e mais bonitas. Há vários anos que utilizo este rímel e digo-vos meninas, nunca desilude. 

The final product have been one of my faithful friends for several years and I know that it never lets me down. It’s the Hypnôse Precious Cells Mascara by Lancôme. This mascara has a brush with small and separate bristles, which gives more volume to the eyelashes and it makes them look bigger and beautiful. For several years I have been using this mascara and I tell you girls, it never disappoints.
