My experience at WIÑK

Ontem foi um dia feliz e aliviante para mim. Passei no exame de código com 0 perguntas erradas leitores. Fiquei mesmo feliz! Espero que a vossa semana também esteja a ser óptima e muito feliz.

E agora vamos ao post de hoje. Não sei se já tinha dito por aqui, mas não estava nada contente com a forma das minhas sobrancelhas e há cerca de duas semanas fui à WIÑK no Centro Comercial Colombo e experimentei fazer as sobrancelhas com a linha. Hoje fui lá a segunda vez, pois depois de deixar crescer os pêlos em algumas zonas em que era necessário, passado duas semanas recomendaram-me ir lá acertar tudo. Eu já vos expliquei aqui em que consiste este método, por isso hoje vou falar mais especificamente do atendimento na WIÑK e do resultado final.
And now let's go to today's post. I don't know if I had metioned around here, but I wasn't really happy with the shape of my eyebrows and about two weeks ago I went to WIÑK, in Centro Comercial Colombo and I tried to do my eyebrows with the line. Today I went there for the second time, because after letting the hair grow in some places, after two weeks they recommended me to go there and fix it. I already explained to you here in which consists this method, so today I will be talking specifically about the WIÑK service and the final result.

 A WIÑK é 100% portuguesa e é considerada um serviço pioneiro na arte de Threading (depilação de sobrancelhas com linha) utilizando um fio de algodão para remover os pêlos da raiz. O conceito walk-in (quiosque) tem o objectivo de tornar a vida das mulheres mais fácil com uma depilação mais rápida e claro apresentando sempre uma atitude profissional, um espaço limpo e confortável. Além da depilação de sobrancelhas, a WIÑK também faz depilação no buço, testa e toda a face, e ainda tem serviços como a extensão, permanente e tintura de pestanas. WIÑK is 100% portuguese and is considered a pioneer service in the art of Threading, using a cotton thread to remove the hair from the root. The walk-in concept has the goal of making the woman life easier with a fast depilation and of course presenting always a professional attitude, a clean and comfy space. Besides depilating the eyebrows, WIÑK already does the upper lip area depilation, the forehead and the entire face, and it still has services like the extension, permanent and dye of lashes. Besides those services it also has at sale some products for each specialty.

 

Fui atendida pela Bauna, uma senhora muito simpática, que estava plenamente bem preparada para fazer a depilação com a linha (o que é muito importante neste método). Ela começou por me limpar o rosto na zona dos olhos e das sobrancelhas e de seguida iniciou a depilação com a linha ("o fio é preso entre os dedos e conforme os dedos se movimentam, o fio desliza na pele extraindo os pêlos", segundo a WIÑK). A dor é quase nula, apenas se sente mais quando os pêlos são grossos, e o processo é bastante rápido. Durante todo o processo tive um espelho na mão e podia ir dando a minha opinião e ver como estava a ficar. No final, fez-me uma pequena massagem na área das sobrancelhas com um creme de Aloe Vera e retocou-as com um lápis, explicando assim em que zonas eu deveria deixar crescer alguns pêlos. Hoje voltei a ser atendida pela Bauna, pois penso que é importante ser sempre seguida pela mesma pessoa, que já começa a conhecer o meu formato de rosto e entende como ficam melhor as sobrancelhas de acordo com o meu rosto. 
I was served by Bauna, a very kind lady, that was really well prepared to use the thread to depilate (which is very important in this method). She started by cleaning the area of the face around the eyes and eyebrows and then initiated the depilation with the thread ("the thread is secured between the fingers and while the fingers move, the thread slides in the skin removing the hair", according to WIÑK). The pain is almost none, I just felt a little bit when the hair were thicker, and the process is very quick. Throughout the entire process I had a mirror in my hand and I could give my opinion and see how it was looking. At the end, she made me a little massage in the eyebrows area with an Aloe Vera lotion and touch them up with an eyebrow pencil, explaining to me which areas I should let the hair grow. Today I went back there and I was served by Bauna again, because I think it's important to be followed by the same person, because she starts to get to know my face format and understands how the eyebrows look better according to my face.

 

Como ainda é necessário deixar crescer alguns pêlos para fazer a forma definitiva da sobrancelha, nas imagens que tirei já depois de ter ido lá a primeira vez ainda não se nota muita diferença, mas vê-se que estão mais iguais e melhor delineadas. Gostei muito do resultado e do atendimento da Bauna claro.
Because it's still necessary to let some hair grow to make the definitive form of the eyebrow, in the pictures I took after I went there for the first time you can't notice very well the difference, but you can see that they look more similar and better delineated. I really liked the result and Bauna's service of course.

Já experimentaram este método? Qual é a vossa opinião? Se nunca experimentaram por terem medo eu aconselho-vos a tentar uma vez, se tiverem hipótese. Irão notar diferenças e a pele é muito menos agredida e fica bastante suave. Custa 9 euros e 50 na WIÑK.

Have you tried this method? What is your opinion? If you never tried it because you're affraid I really advise you to try at least once, if you have the chance. You will notice some differences and the skin is a lot less attacked and it stays very soft. It costs 9 euros and 50 at WIÑK.
